“Ethereum Mining Rig lohnt sich”

“Ethereum Mining Rig lohnt sich”

 – You want to get a simple low end CPU and at least 4GB of RAM – Tip: make sure your motherboard, CPU and RAM are compatible (i.e. LGA 1151 motherboards need an 1151 socket CPU, and DDR4 RAM / LGA 1150 motherboards need an 1150 CPU and DDR3 RAM)
Based on the release notes from the company, the driver will boost performance for “Blockchain Compute Workloads,” thus bolstering the efficiency of digital currency mining computers that use a graphics processing unit (GPU) for mining.
Now replace “” with your Ethereum Wallet address (which starts with 0x…) so copy that from your other text file and paste it here.  Then replace “” with any name you would like to create for your miner.  We’ll use “MiningRig1” for our example, so you now have:
Certain hashing algorithms are designed to prevent a massive ASIC advantage over GPU or CPU mining. However, the truth is an ASIC can be designed for any coin. It’s simply a matter of calculating how much money it would take to develop the ASIC, and how much your profits improve by doing so. For Bitcoin’s SHA-256 algorithm, an ASIC would increase your hash rate tremendously and Bitcoin’s price and transaction fees make it very profitable to mine. For other coins with more memory intensive algorithms and lower prices, you might not see a quick return on your ASIC investment.
A: You can use any ETH wallet address for mining, but some exchanges do not allow mining or do not allow very small deposits so double check with the site if mining directly to a web-deposit address.  A good alternative to downloading the full Mist wallet and Ethereum blockchain is MyEtherWallet.com, which still allows you to manage your Ether wallet address and maintain control of your private keys (which is important for security and/or wallet backup and restoration if needed).
I would also recommend you buy an SSD as it is a just little bit expensive than HDD. So, you don’t have to buy any 240 GB SSD or; higher 120GB is enough. The only things that will be going on the SSD will be OS, Drivers & mining software.
Other recommandations : 8 Go RAM (better when compiling Zcash’s source on Ubuntu, for example). Of course, enough space on the HDD to run an OS, the drivers, the miner, etc. If you’re not mining with a pool (see section III), you’ll have to download and sync the entire blockchain of the cryptocurrency, which might get very big : Ethereum’s blockchain reached 30 Go in…one year. Beware.
You can now test that your rig is mining using the first command, and then start mining using the second. It’s a simple as that. If you want to use a pool different to Nanopool, then, of course, replace it with your chosen one.
3: same as “2”, but start indexes from one instead of zero. For example, if you specify “-di 05” to select first and last GPUs of six GPUs installed, miner will display these two selected cards as “GPU1” and “GPU6”.
I have a 1080ti and would like to pick up some extra cash by mining, but I don’t want to degrade it’s life. I just got it a month ago and it is supposed to last me several years. How can I pick up some extra cash without it costing me another gpu?
when i create the mine.bat file as you described above, i save it. then i go to see if it works and it just opens up the notepad file that i filled in with the values i filled in above. i have the file saved in the claymore folder.
When a currency (Ethereum) is resistant to ASIC mining, the average person can afford to buy a GPU if they don’t already have one. This allows everyone to verify the network instead of a select few with lots of power.
The decision whether Bitcoin is worth mining lies with you, but if you need some of the best mining devices for this precious cryptocurrency, then there you go. Getting the best ASIC miner would definitely pay off. The choice is yours.
Unfortunately, for someone looking at building just a few mining rigs, they may never find a block solo-mining. Therefore it is necessary to join a mining pool. A mining pool combines the hashrate of all the miners, and vastly increases the chances that the group is able to find a block. This therefore allows you to get a steady payout from the pool, even if you yourself never find a block.
There’s more to buying a miner than just picking the one with the highest hash rate, though. Miners with a high hash rate usually come with a high price tag. On top of that, they also typically use more electricity as they operate which could further drive your costs up.
@philakone Hey man Thanks a lot for your reply and your help. I couldn’t open the “Ethereum-Walletfile” but it’s ok since I have a greater problem to deal with atm. I have finished the synch with ‘geth –rpc”, I have wrote the words in the nanopool.bat notepad as you suggested. But when I am running the bat file i get this problem.
For me, my aim was to find out more about the Ethereum network as I am a software developer and the possibility of programming smart contracts is like playing with a giant box of Lego Mindstorm, with unlimited pieces.

During the  mining of ethereum, you will only be using memory of the GPU, that means that the higher quality of the memory is, the better hashrate you can get. While testing all of the memory types, I’ve found out that Samsung and Hynix are a little bit better than Elpida and Micron, but the difference is very subtle.
Next, you’ll want to switch to the “develop branch” of cpp-ethereum. To do this, in that same terminal, ‘cd’ into the /cpp-ethereum directory (the one created by the previous git command), and then type:
I am new to mining and want to build a rig. I think I have enough money invest in a very nice setup. Can you please tell me if the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Windforce OC is the best GPU available on the market right now?
Since we are not CPU-mining, performance isn’t determined by the CPU, the RAM or the hard drive : it just has to be working well together, with an internet connexion and reasonable performances. Low-end products will be fine. However, we should pay attention to the TDP of these components, CPU first, because additional heat / electric consumption could decrease profitability. It’s a question of average consumption. Personal tip : I’ve figured out that a 2.5′ HDD – 5400rpm – from an old netbook could draw less power than a low-end SSD !
Geth is the original software from the Ethereum team. If you wish to solo mine, this will be your best option. It’s simple and straightforward to use. It can also create your wallet for you, but as discussed below, you should get Mist/Ethereum Wallet as well if you prefer a GUI option.
I am particularly drawn to participating in Ethereum and would love to set my computers to be involved. I’m not smart enough to be a programmer, but I love the project because it’s more than just mining for fabricated wealth.
If you are wondering if it is worth mining Ethereum you can get an idea on how much Ether (ETH) should be mined with a specific hashrate depending on what hardware you have available with a simple mining profitability calculator. All you to enter is the hashrate you are getting (you can run ethminer in benchmark mode to see what hashrate to expect from your CPU or GPU if you have not yet started mining) and you will get information about the expected mined amount in ETH and USD. The calculator uses up to date data from etherchain’s API to get fresh information about the Network Hashrate, average Blocktime and 1 ETH price, so it should be pretty accurate with the results at the moment of time you use it. The estimated coins to be mined and their USD value are shown for a period of 1 Minute, 1 Hour, 1 Day, 1 Week and 1 Month, though the longer the period is the less accurate the estimation could be.
The SSD is on it’s on SATA power connections. There are two additional SATA power cables plugged into the PSU, with 2x GPU’s on each SATA power cable connected to the 6pin to SATA cable from the powered risers. The powered risers are connected from USB on the riser to either a 1x or 16x PCIe slot on the motherboard. Each GPU has a dedicated power line going to the PSU.
Science and Technology Daily News] [Technews encryption because although recent currency Bitcoin price breakouts, become the subject of investor sell-off, but it made money for the encryption of new business opportunities, related investment so far still in the ascendant. A few days ago, foreign media reported that Terry Gou, president of Hon Hai Group, will invest in the world’s first commercial bank of cryptocurrencies. Recently, a new type of cryptocurrency mining machine will be launched soon. This type of mining machine will appear larger memory, lower energy consumption in the market, which will also bring more business opportunities for foundry leading TSMC and related memory manufacturers.
I cant figure it out , the thing I have eth working from the dev builds but no blocks are ever mined for some reason , not sure what to do , I have a Linux test build that works flawlesely but this windows thing is baffling. There are no errors in event log either geth just sits there at starting server so wierd
