Ein zweiter, und vielleicht wichtigerer Grund für die Difficulty-Bomb ist jedoch der geplante Wechsel von Ethereum von PoW zu PoS. PoW bedeutet “Proof of Work” und meint, dass die Miner um den Block-Reward konkurrieren, indem sie beweisen, dass ihre Computer Rechenzyklen verbrauchen. PoS hingegen bedeutet “Proof of Stake” und meint, dass die Miner nicht echte Computerleistung investieren, sondern lediglich Ether, mit denen sie simulierte Miner kaufen und mit diesen um die Blöcke konkurrieren. Anstatt Miner heißen sie nun Staker.
If all of  your GPU’s on the RIG are the same, you can try to apply the profile settings that worked for the first GPU to the next GPU and test if it works, then try to adjust the small settings to reduce memory errors if you get them. It’s possible that the same GPU with the same settings will crash the PC or cause a freeze, that’s why you test one GPU at a time.
It is strange, yes. I thought that too. At some point I abandoned the Claymore and started WinMiner just to see in the command prompt that… its using Claymore 9.7 Beta. It connected and started mining from the WinMiner pools. In a few hours I tried again the newest Claymore and it connected to mine ETH.

We’re going to basically do the reverse with the memory clock speed, but there are some important things to know. If you have a GPU that is factory-clocked at 1750 mhz or less (virtually every 4GB RX 470/480 GPU, and most RX 470 8GB GPUs as well—the Sapphire Nitro being the notable exception—then 1750 mhz is going to probably be your limit via this method. Increasing the memory clock beyond 1750 mhz will likely result in a change to less-aggressive memory timings that will result in a loss of performance, and there is no way to prevent this outside of BIOS modifications. So if you have a card clocked at under 1750 mhz, bump it up to exactly 1750 mhz, which will give you a decent boost. If you have a 2000 mhz card, you can increase it incrementally, like the reverse of what we did with the core clock. Eventually you’ll experience system instability: artifacts on the screen, a GPU crash, bluescreen, etc. When that happens, back down a bit until things are stable.
A proxy was created to fix it, so official Ethereum miner is locally connected to the proxy by HTTP protocol, for local network delays due to HTTP protocol are small. Proxy is connected to the pool via Stratum protocol so it has small delays too. Currently most pools support Stratum and you have to use HTTP-to-Stratum proxy to make official miner work with pools properly. Of course you can try to connect official miner to a pool directly via HTTP but you will lose 10-20% shares because of a short block time in Ethereum.
Using Ethereum, you can create a contract that will hold a contributor’s money until any given date or goal is reached. Depending on the outcome, the funds will either be released to the project owners or safely returned back to the contributors. All of this is possible without requiring a centralized arbitrator, clearinghouse or having to trust anyone.
Different cryptocurrency has different hash algorithm and requirements, but the essence of a hash is the same. If a miner be the first who compute the hash result matched the requirements against the whole network; then that winning miner will be reward with the coins! That’s exactly the goal of mining. Obviously, only using a small computing resources winning against the whole network is very difficult; that’s why the Mining Pool concept can be applied to join force to win.

If you enjoy DIY computer hardware projects, the process of setting up your mining rig and optimizing it to maximize your profits might be a lot of fun. However, don’t expect to get rich by next weekend. Most home setups are lucky to average a few extra dollars per month.
