This mining calculator will display your expected earnings in both Ether and Dollars. The calculations are based on the assumption that all conditions (difficulty and prices) remain as they are below.
It’s also recommended that you buy some additional PCIe to Molex (or SATA) connectors so that you can connect the risers to different rails on your PSU. Again, you can find these on Amazon, and will only cost a few dollars.
You do have some great information on mining with the GTX 1070, thank you. But you don’t mention the 1070 Ti, how come? According to other research I have found that the 1070 Ti is actually more efficient, and faster than the 1070 so overall it can cost less and mine more.
The part before the -dwal is the same as for the solo ethereum mining described above. The -dwal has the same representation as -ewal, it just is the mining pool of the dual coin. I recommend to mine ONLY Decred as a dual coin, because it has the highest efficiency of all of them . As described above the Dual coin uses the GPU’s core for mining and not all dual coins give the same results. For RX 5xx cards the best way would be to go with Decred. I use the Supernova decred mining pool. You need to create an account there, and the account name will serve you as a decred mining pool address. This way it gives you one more security improvement, because you don’t show people your address, instead just your account name. On your account you will need to create a worker and give it a name for example: worker1, and leave it’s password as it is (“password”). Now to connect properly to the decred mining pool you would need to put “-dwal supernovaAccountName.supernovaWorkerName”
There are other video cards like the higher end R9 series from AMD that I’ve chosen to not include here simply because they are an older generation of video cards and use a lot of power by comparison. I’ll be updating this list of GPU mining video cards regularly as new cards from both AMD and Nvidia are released.
To understand that, you need to understand that Ethereum has two parts. Like Bitcoin, Ethereum is a cryptocurrency. (Technically, the cryptocurrency is called “Ether,” but a lot of people refer to it as “Ethereum.”) Currently, Ethereum has the second highest market cap of any cryptocurrency (behind Bitcoin), and its price has been rising very quickly. In January 2017, 1 Ether was worth about $10. In June, it reached nearly $400. Obviously, that kind of rise is going to attract attention.
A miner is an investor that devotes time, computer space and energy to sorting through blocks. When the mining process hits the right harsh, they will submit their solutions to the issuer. After verification, the issuer of the currency offers rewards which are portions of the transactions they helped in verifying. They also offer digital coins in exchange for the work of miners. The result of digital mining is called proof of work system. Some currencies depend on this system alone while other use a combination of proof of stake and proof of work.
The Ethereum network is a long string of connections maintained by computers, their impact is undeniable, and the profit gained from mined Ether is surreal. A lot of people are of the opinion that mining will stop with the advent of the consensus algorithm and advise those with itching curiosity to mine now and think later.
When you dive into the world of GPU mining you’ll quickly find that to make any serious money that you’ll need to invest in a fair bit of hardware. Let’s go trough the hardware that one would likely need if they wanted to build a 6  or 7 GPU ethereum mining machine. Over at the Ethereum Community Forums you’ll find hundreds of threads about building a 6-7 GPU mining machine and you can make some pretty good money off a system like that. With 7 AMD Radeon RX 480 video cards that have been optimized for mining you should be able to get around 200 MH/s when mining ethereum, so if you plug that into a profit calculator you are looking at making a profit of $12,870 per year at the current difficulty and ETH price of $245. That’s guessing the rig uses around 1,000 Watts 24/7 and electric costs $0.1265 KW/h. (Please keep in mind the price of ethereum could always drop to zero or skyrocket, so think long and hard before you buy hardware to do this.)
