Hi Bhavesh, OK, this seems to be a fairly common error but it’s beyond my capabilities to diagnose precisely from that log. Wenn man jedoch genau hinschaut, erkennt man, dass die Difficulty ein Stückchen rascher ansteigt als die Hashrate. Eigentlich sollte beides synchron verlaufen bzw. die Hashrate sollte der Difficulty vorauseilen.

Vereinfacht funktioniert es, dass z.B. ab 1MB durchschnittlicher Blocksize der letzten 100 Blöcke auf zwei Chains geshardet wird und auf eine kommen alle Transaktionen, deren Hash mit 0-7 beginnt, auf die zweite alle mit 8-f. Jede Chain hat dann lediglich ihre Transaktionen und benötigt dann nur den jeweils letzten Blockhash der anderen Chain. Falls die Blöcke im Schnitt wieder auf >1MB wachsen, gibt es einen Shard auf 4 Chains. Auch eine Zusammenführung wäre denkbar, wenn die Blocksize auf unter die Hälfte sinkt… Und es wäre natürlich großen Betreibern überlassen, allen Chains zu folgen (und auch zu minen), wenn sie dies für schnellere Verifizierung benötigen. Natürlich ist das alles noch sehr vage und theoretisch, Details müssten definiert, implementiert und ausgiebig getestet werden. Mit zk-Snarks gibt es heute auch eine Möglichkeit, die jeweils andere Chain zu verifizieren, ohne deren Inhalt zu kennen. Diese halte ich aber noch für zu wenig getestet und wenn selbst Zooko meint, es ist Magie, die er nicht versteht, aber seinen Coin darauf aufbaut, sollte man vorsichtig sein. Für mich ist das jedoch der Erfolg versprechendste Ansatz für eine wirklich dezentrale Kryptowährung, die auch skalierbar ist.

Je nach Tarif werden 26 bis 28 Eurocent pro kWh bezahlt. Dies muss natürlich mit in Betracht gezogen werden, wenn ein Mining in Frage kommen soll.

Wer aber bereits ein paar Grafikkarten besitzt, der kann einen Schritt weiter gehen. The new AMD Radeon RX 580 uses more power and costs more than the Radeon RX 480, but it gets higher performance and many are able to get 29 MH/s per card at around 135 Watts of power when you do all the widely known power adjustments. No wonder the AMD Radeon RX 580/570 cards are all sold out.

Je mehr Miner in einem Blockchain Netzwerk minen, desto höher ist die Gesamtrechenleistung in einem Netzwerk. Damit nun durch den Anstieg der Rechenleistung im Netzwerk, nicht mehr Blöcke in kürzerer Zeit gefunden werden können, wird die Difficulty vom Blockchain Protokoll automatisch angepasst.
Set  the memory voltage to 850mV and then to 800mV, always look into HWinfo64, because the reduction of voltage on the memory can cause it to produce errors,  so don’t go below 800mV . Reduction in the memory voltage can also cause the GPU to stop working (0 mh/s) or cause the rig  to freeze or blue screen. Don’t worry about that just revert the settings.

The reality is that the threat of a likely switch to Proof of Stake is whats making it uneconomic for anyone to produce asics, as you know in advance they would have a limited lifetime, and the cost of creating the asic is so high ($millions!) you’d want to know you could have a profitable run for awhile, with the switch to PoS, you wont get that.

R7 370’s are still very good cards. They are near the top of the list in terms of efficiency. 15-16.5+ Mh/s for only ~145 – 150 watts. Also, they are cheaper to buy up front, especially now that 280X cards are pretty much impossible to find.
I have grown to really love GPU mining. There is something about it. It is a royal pain in the ass really. They generate tons of heat, use a very measurable and large amount of electricity and take a fair amount of tweaking to get right. While your average Joe might not be able to setup GPU mining it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out and get going either. They are not plug and play like ASICs but they also have market value beyond their mining application. To me, a guitarists, GPU miners are the Tube Amps of the mining world. True, the ASICs are more efficient and cheaper but they don’t have that GPU mining feel. You have to really love GPU mining because, as I said, it can be a royal pain. True, there is a barrier to entry with GPUs. They can be expensive. But they are typically readily available and an individual can get into meaningful GPU mining today for under $200 on their home PC. Having the parts available in retail environments is in stark contrast to the black boxes which are the ASIC distributors. CPU mining is very egalitarian as anyone can do it at the drop of the hat with their PC. This seems fine but the option of kicking up a notch to GPU typed power, especially for the enthusiast, is nice IMHO. If someone wants to invest more into contributing increased transaction processing power it is not as easily salable [with CPUs] as GPUs as CPUs require multiple independent systems to scale while many GPUs can be added to a single system allowing for easier management of fewer overall systems. As a Crypto Evangelist, a true believer if you will, I want the opportunity to provide more to the network than a new user that casually points their PC to a mining pool as a curiosity. While large investors see the profit and ease in ASICs far fewer build large scale GPU operations and those that do are typically not just casual investors looking to capitalize on a trend but enthusiasts willing to do a lot of work along with investing their capital.
If the Ethereum Platform is rapidly adopted, the demand for transaction processing and distributed application computations could rise dramatically and at a pace that exceeds the rate with which ETH miners can bring online additional mining power. Under such a scenario, the entire Ethereum Platform could become destabilized, due to the increased cost of running distributed applications. In turn, this could dampen interest in the Ethereum Platform and ETH. Insufficiency of computational resources and an associated rise in the price of ETH could result in businesses being unable to acquire scarce computational resources to run their distributed applications. This would represent revenue losses to businesses or worst case, cause businesses to cease operations because such operations have become uneconomical due to distortions in the crypto-economy.
Hashes per watt is absolutely not the metric you want to judge a card’s merit on. Case and point: you pick an RX 560 and the ilk as the ultimate card, even at a pittance of hashes per card. Usually, the increased coins earned from the extra hashpower outstrips the extra power usage significantly (up until you hit that steep portion of the performance exponential curve). If you’re scaling anywhere past a few cards or a single rig, 75W vs 100W on a card isn’t your primary concern.
Zugleich sinkt die tägliche Rate, mit der neue Ether entstehen. Im Januar und Februar haben die Miner noch rund 30.000 Ether am Tag erschaffen. Heute sind es nur noch etwa 27.500. Wenn die Blöcke langsamer fallen, entstehen auch weniger Ether am Tag. Ist klar.
I had the brilliant idea of combining 10 such 16gb cards, with not but a power supply, small ram chip for bios, and 16 gb of ram and a memory controller, all feeding into 1 FPGA “gateway” device that would send out the work, and the biggest problem I ran into there is a data transfer latency timing issue, where basically I would in theory be submitting all stale shares because, by the time I sent the signal, processed it, sent it back, then received it, then passed it on those 10+ nano seconds would cause me to end up with an effective hash rate of below 1.5 Mh/s. so for 10 cards at 16 gb at a likely cost of $750 per card, or $7500- I could end up with a whopping 240 mh/s @ 2500 watts, IE worse than a rig of Rx 480’s.
Please advice if the second GPU (from previous post, GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 G1 GAMING 8GB (GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD) would be a right choice for the rig or there are some differences that I may experience in overclocking/drivers, e.t.c.. Thanks in advance,
Afterburner (or whatever utility you choose) can also be used to raise the core and memory clocks on the card. This will increase your hashrate, but also the heat produced and card temperature so make sure you have adequate cooling. Always increase overlock in reasonable increments like 100MHz to make sure your rig stays stable.
