“Ethereum Solo Mining Guide”

The miner originally came with Windows 10 in Chinese with the miner already setup mining to an address in China. Needless to say, I had to change that. Who knew you can’t just change the language on Windows, they require you to buy a new license if you want to change it to English!!! That was not too big of a deal since I didn’t really want to run it on Windows anyway. I started my configuration by following a tutorial on Cryptobadger for setting up one running Ubuntu Linux since it is generally more stable.
Let us begin with the most important component: the Graphics Processing Unit What Is the Difference Between An APU, A CPU And A GPU? What Is the Difference Between An APU, A CPU And A GPU? Over the last five or more years, there have been a number of different terms swirling around to describe computer hardware. Some of those terms include but aren’t limited to APU, CPU, and GPU. But… Read More (GPU).
If you are not familiar with Ethereum and cryptocurrency, in general, it is a new form of monetary exchange that is entirely electronic. There is no and will be no hard currency for the cryptocurrency. You may have heard of its meteoric rise this year with Bitcoin starting the year at around $1,000 and is now valued as of Oct 31 at $6,500. That is a growth of 550% in 2017 alone. I wish I would have thought to buy some of this before all the cryptocurrencies started to skyrocket in March.
Hi Bhavesh, OK, this seems to be a fairly common error but it’s beyond my capabilities to diagnose precisely from that log. I’ve seen a variety of solutions to this issue proposed on various forums: https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/questions/18806/couldnt-connect-to-node/23153#23153 https://github.com/ethereum/mist/issues/2426 https://github.com/ethereum/mist/wiki#unable-to-find-peers I suggest starting with the simple solutions first before trying the more advanced stuff. So if using Windows, start things up in Administrator mode. Then try starting Geth manually with the –nat=none flag. Then try starting from the command line as someone suggested. You can also backup your data directory, rename / move it, and let the wallet resync itself… From there,… Read more »
If you’ve followed my Ethereum mining guide and successfully set up your own rig, you may have noticed that the Claymore mining software we’re using supports a Ethereum DAG Hashrate Drop FIX – AMD Official Mining Drivers Are Now Out
Learn how to build an Ethereum mining rig using the step-by-step guide below. Mining Ethereum is an incredibly profitable use of off-the-shelf PC hardware. Currently, I’m mining roughly $500/mo of Ether using this exact rig.
This is my second purchase and am happy that they easily offer the ability to choose other ALT cryptos. I decided to mine more XMR, but also use to allocate some of the mining results to LTC and DASH. This was very easy to do with a few clicks on their website. Thank you Genesis.
WCS mineral and analytical laboratory is accredited by the National Accreditation Board for testing and calibration laboratories (NABL) for mineral testing, systematic environmental data acquisition & testing for ambient air quality , stack emission, water including waste water, soil, noise etc.
The team behind the website has also recently started sharing technical crypto guides on interesting topics and a hardware repair section, which can be really useful for everyone who wants to restore their old mining cards back to glory for instance. The site is also provides monitoring of the Network Hashrate and Difficulty for all of the coins present in the calculator, allowing miners to check the last 90 days of the performance of the network.

This guide is to help people with little to no experience build an Ethereum mining rig. I’ve personally built several rigs, and the most frustrating part was figuring out what were the best parts to purchase. My goal for this post is to give you the most up to date, highest quality information regarding the equipment needed to create your first mining rig.
Whether you are an experienced miner or a new player in the arena, these GPUs and mining boxes are perfect for you. These mining boxes work almost OOB (Out Of the Box). Spend less time in fiddling around and setting up the Ethereum mining rig and more time in actual mining!
*Lifetime Contract means that the duration of the contracts are not fixed, contract will be active until it is profitable to mine, and will be canceled when it cannot pay it’s own electricity costs in continuation of some period, usually 14 days.
Finally, the Biostar TB250-BTC is also aimed at miners, and costs considerably less than the Asus and ASRock offerings. The Biostar board “only” supports 6 GPUs, but that’s likely all that the majority of us need. If price is your primary consideration, the TB250-BTC should be at the top of your list for 6 GPU rig builds.
As i am new to mining i have yet to review my earnings w/ genesis mining and see ,however the support they offer seems to be class leading, thanks for the wonderful support. hope to review my mining experience with the company in the future.
I would say that this site has a pretty consistent overall mining. The only negative I see is that if mining isn’t profitable then your lifetime subscription can be cancelled at anytime. Also I would mine for Altcoins on here as Bitcoin is harder to obtain in a high amount these days.
Unless you have especially cheap power or low hardware costs, it’s challenging to mine coins that will sell at an immediate profit. Of course the value of Dogecoins may increase in the future, but it tends to be a very volatile market in the short-term.
1x RAM (System Memory) –  4 GB RAM – You don’t need a lot of system memory to mine ethereum effectively. 4GB is about as small as a stick of RAM comes these days, so I recommend just picking up a cheap one as long as it is DDR 4 desktop memory.
Another idea is to use my own laptop (toshiba R700), at night, using the same USB extenders but maybe the laptop power is not ready to supply the GPU. What is your opinion on this? In the case that it would be advisable to use laptop, would this interfere with my normal working or would it be advisable to let it work only when I am not using the laptop?
Perfect transaction ans very easy procédure. If i have something to recommend , it’s to explain to the investor/buyer that there is change taxe when you décide to invest on something. For exemple, i have bought for 3831 euro in Dash but i have 80 euro exchange taxe with visa. I think that the person who decide to invest have to know this charge un more. But for the rest, i hope that my minning WILL be profitable for the future. If it’s the case, i WILL invest again in this plateform.
With mining rigs, you want the lowest clocked CPU, bare minimum RAM, 5,6 or 7 GPUs and a very basic HD.   Oh, and as you can see from the picture, you don’t want nor can you fit all those GPUs instead of a normal case.  You can use a nice custom made case as you see above or something cheap like a milk crate.

Both design styles end up looking very similar to another. That’s because cryptocurrency mining focuses on two parts: the graphics card and the power supply. The rest of the computer can be little more than scrap heap pulls.
Much like torrents, the blockchain is a peer-to-peer network. This means that software is loaded on machines around the world that are networked together either via the internet or via internal networks and it creates a distributed computing platform.
 – For Power Supplies, you want to double check that your PSU has enough connections to support the number of GPU’s you are running and enough overall wattage to support your total system power draw (and to give yourself some buffer of at least 10-15%). A helpful site for identifying how many 6 or 8 pin PCI-E power connections your GPU will require is here (Realhardtechx.com) and to get a sense of your overall system power draw, this is a good power consumption calculator (outervision).  Pro Tip: if building multiple rigs stick with the same brand PSU as you can use extra cables on your other systems if needed (e.g. I use only EVGA G2 PSU’s so if I have extra VGA, sata or molex cables from one build I can use them on another build).
After arriving home, I looked into option number 3 and decided it was worth it. Option number 3 is EthOS, a modified version of Ubuntu for sale on Gpushack. This operating system is designed solely around mining Ethereum and other similar cryptocurrencies and made the process so much easier. It did cost $40, but that money has already been recouped from increased uptime. EthOS comes with all the different mining software already installed along with all the drivers for common GPUs and motherboards. The only configuration that has to be done once you get it installed and up is writing the remote or local config file that tells it which miner to use and all the various settings, the details of which are best left for another post.
However, if you are interested in technology and are willing to learn about computers and cryptocurrency tech then I would definitely recommend an Ethereum miner as a supplement to your passive income portfolio.
what is the maximum of hashrate which i could reach by mining ETH? and how does it work with the limits of it? i mean, if i have a hardware which is able to generate 1500 m/hash why i cant use them all to mine 24/7 ETH? thank you in advance for your help guys.
The best advice is usually to just pick up whichever 570/580 card you can get your hands on for the least money, as mining speed differences between brands/models are pretty small after optimization. These 8GB MSI RX 570 cards are $220 each as of 11/29/2017, and I’m running mine at 28 Mh/sec without pushing them too hard.
