“Ether Mining Rig Spezifikationen”

One of the more unique elements of a mining rig is having a computer case that can handle 6 GPUs. Luckily people are making cases designed to hold a lot of graphics cards, an open air case is recommended for keeping the rig running optimal & cool.
I do not think so, many advanced mining rigs has already done, using GPU and memory as in video cards. I googled “ethereum asics” and found devices like this one https://www.nvminer.com , they call it an asic, but it still use NVidia GPUs. the hashrate and power consumption are more profitable, than graphic cards.
Thanks for your post. Wondering if mining is still profitable? I’ve been thinking of doing it with a 6-12 GPU system. I’ve been skeptic due to increasing difficulty in mining and with Ether moving to PoS
When you use a remote mining provider, they usually just rent or sell you a portion of their mining setup’s hashing power. However, if you are controlling your own mining rig, you know that you control the full capabilities of your machine and therefore are getting the full hashing power available to your hardware. One thing to note is that while the cost of graphic cards continues to rise due to cryptocurrency mining, you should do a cost benefit analysis on how much hash rate you’ll get for your investment.
You’ll want to work in an Ethereum Mining Pool. Think of solving block hashes as buying lottery tickets, the more computers working on a block the higher chance you have to solve. Being in a pool with thousands will give you a more consistent payout than mining alone.
It is understood that the ethernet ETHASH algorithm used, originally designed for the memory bandwidth (band width), which is the demand for graphics chips. So it is suitable for PC mining, mining machine is not good at this. However, because Ether is likely to adopt a PoS proof of stack model by mid-2019, which will make the current mining machine more difficult to enforce, the continent will start designing a new type of mining machine, To meet after the market demand.
If you mine ETC on some pool that does not accept wallet address but requires Username.Worker instead, the best way is to specify “-allcoins etc”, in this mode devfee mining will be on ETC pools and DAG won’t be recreated at all.
The P102-100 might become the next important difficulty bomb. Knowing how well previous mining-oriented cards sold (with more than 300k P104 being sold in February alone), we might expect Ethereum difficulty levels to skyrocket soon. I’ll try to get my hands on those cards and test them as soon as possible.
Graphics cards were all run at their out of the box configurations without any modification whatsoever.  While we are aware that if you are going to set up a dedicated mining system you are likely going to run a modified vBIOS on your card we simply wanted to see the natural performance of these cards. Radeon and GeForce cards were run on the latest drivers at the time of this article.
You can now test that your rig is mining using the first command, and then start mining using the second. It’s a simple as that. If you want to use a pool different to Nanopool, then, of course, replace it with your chosen one.
This miner does not use HTTP protocol, it uses Stratum directly. So you should connect it directly to the pool at Stratum port and it will work a bit faster than official miner via proxy because there is no proxy between miner and pool.
Dear rufio88, I’m experiencing a problem that showed up today, after an unwanted windows update (that I was stopping for about 3 weeks), my mining rig slowed down a 35% in hash rate. I have windows 10. Are you or anyone else you know having the same problem ?
If you would still like to get started, the steps below outline the general process. You can find much more detailed instructions on one of the many websites dedicated to cryptocurrency mining, but this gives you a broad overview.
While Linux offers some significant advantages when it comes to GPU mining, Windows does have one potentially important edge: undervolting your GPUs currently requires quite a bit less effort under Windows. If you want your mining rig to run at its maximum efficiency, you’ll want to keep power consumption to a minimum, and with Linux that generally requires flashing a custom BIOS to each GPU—whereas in Windows you can usually accomplish this at the driver level with a simple software setting.
Vertcoin and Bitcoin Gold promise to hard fork to a different hashing algorithm if ASICs are developed. These coins want to encourage more users to be able to mine from the comfort of their own home. However, if these coins become popular and more profitable to mine, you might see a game of cat and mouse, with constant hard forking to dodge the new ASICs being developed. There could easily be a situation where at some point their community decides they don’t agree with the latest fork and then you have some Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Gold Cash type situation (or BG-Cash).
can someone please for the love of all holy help me find the download for ethminer??!!!! the github site is total garbage and for the uninitiated cannot navigate or find what i need! i download what i think is the install file but when i run it it just opens a CMD!!!!
Running a CPU you might be able to generate 0.15 Mega Hashes whilst with a decent GPU with enough memory you could be doing upwards 25 Mega Hashes (you can choose a GPU to mine ether here and use our guide on how to choose a GPU to mine ether). So in terms of total efficiency, taking into account electrical costs, a GPU is definitely worth it even if it costs you $200.
The value of dedicated GPU is going beyond the needs of gaming, it is proven to fulfill the professional needs for Deep Learning researches. As it turns out the modern graphics cards are very good at achieving the framerate requirements for virtual-reality. To our biggest surprise, GPU is profitable at mining crypto-currency again, such as Ethereum, so we can profit from our current hardware setup. This article will run through the basic mining knowledge, and guides how to setup a Windows 10’s machine with a GPU to do Ethereum mining.
For 12/13 GPU rigs get a slightly better CPU (60$-100$) cause it will be a bit faster when working on the Rig especially when changing GPU’s from Graphics to Compute mode in AMD Settings and using streaming software (Team Viewer, Splashtop)
even DDR5 memory is overwhelmed and i own 2 970s and they are shit at mining 9mh/s i think max for a 4gb? let’s do some african math “because i’m from africa”  72gb/4gb = 18 gb * 9mh/s = 162mh/s for this miner and don’t forget the stuff sited in the quote above.
It is often hard to select required PSU. Some of you might select a PSU that is way less than the required power supply. When you select the Power Supply Unit for the mining rig you will only use 80% of the total that can be supplied by the PSU.
The Vega represents the latest in AMD GPU architecture. While the standard air-cooled Vega series runs a little too hot for serious overclocking, this special edition stays cool enough to reach 42 MH/s, while drawing just under 300 Watts! This feature represents an amazing value: It can match the overclocked performance of Nvidia’s Titan Xp, but only costs half the price.

If you plan on using more than 3 GPUs you’ll need PCIe Risers. These will allow you to connect the graphics cards to the motherboard without attaching them directly to the motherboard. Think of these as PCI extension cords to the motherboard.
Difficulty is likely to continue its established rising trend (and could spike on the release of more efficient GPUs) and price is extremely unpredictable (and may crash if the market dislikes Ethereum’s solution to its on-going DAO crisis). Further, Ethereum is scheduled to switch to a Proof of Stake model at some unspecified date, meaning it will no longer be mineable.
I believe the binaries no longer download from there. I got to this link: geth.ethereum.org/downloads from what I assume is their github page: github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum – runamok May 26 ’17 at 17:59
MinerGate is a GUI miner (GUI just means it looks pretty) with its own incorporated multipool, and even though it’s an extremely intuitive tool, MinerGate’s cutting edge smart algorithm is always working in the background to make sure you’re getting the most out of your hardware.
With Ethereum you can execute code on the blockchain in a distributed way. These are called Smart Contracts. These allow you to set up a system, whereby a person will only receive payment under certain conditions. As Ethereum grows, the scale and complexities of these contracts are expected to increase. Smart Contracts is what has given Ethereum such a solid footing, as like with http://www.gridcoin.us/GridCoin, the blockchain has a functional use.
If you have a GPU with 2GB of memory and receive the following error: “Allocating/mapping single buffer failed with: clCreateBuffer(-61). GPU can’t allocate the DAG in a single chunk. Bailing.” You can try setting the GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT environment variable to 100 by running in the command line the following command before the miner: SET GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 to see if it will fix the problem.
