“Ethereum Bergbau Client”

Do note that ethminer is 64-bit only and you need to have Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable installed (the 64-bit version) as it is compiled with Visual Studio 2013 and CUDA 7.5RC. Note that it seems AMD is currently faster mining Ethereum as compared to Nvidia GPUs and CPU mining is not much worth other than for testing purposes anyway.
Sehr interessanter Artikel.
The ratio you want to keep low is your USD/Mh/s since this directly reflects how long it will take to pay back your initial investment. I try to stay well below $10/Mh/s but if you don’t mind the risk you can go for it even if you are above this. Most stores are price gouging like crazy at the moment, charging $300+ for rx570s and similar mining cards that were $200 a few weeks ago, so if you choose to buy a card at these inflated prices first congratulate yourself on finding one that is in stock since they’re sold out everywhere, then accept that it may not generate much profit before it is obsolete for mining and carry on with that knowledge.
Figure. This picture explain the input of the hash function must be manipulated to generate a hash result of specified difficulty. The difficulty is a pattern of easy comparison, in this case, the hash result is less than 100.
One of the advantages of Ethereum over Bitcoin or Litecoin has to do with the algorithm chosen to validate the proof-of-work (PoW). While BTC relies on SHA-256 and Litecoin on Scrypt for its hash function, Ethereum calls on an algorithm called Ethash, created especially for this purpose. In practice, it was designed from the start to prevent the development of dedicated ASICs to mine it.
We’ll get into more advanced optimization in the next section of this guide, but as long as we’re on Windows, it doesn’t hurt to see what we can accomplish via some basic driver setting adjustments. We should be able to squeeze out some extra performance on most RX 470/480 cards and save a bit of power without venturing into the realm of BIOS mods.
By far the most powerful Ethereum miner, the Radeon R9 295X2 has a hash rate of 46 MH/s, drawing 500 W from the wall. This means you’ll see a yearly return of $1,454.18 USD annually per card. That’s right, over $1,400 per card. Some might think the GTX 1080 is a more powerful alternative, but they’d be wrong. If you want to generate serious revenue by mining Ethereum, the R9 295 X2 is your card of choice.

One of three things is going on here, either the person really does not know what they are talking about (e.g. hashrates for RX 400 & 500 series, the R9 only coming in 4gb, etc), or they are advertising for Nvidia, or they are attempting to get a sell off for AMD cards. I don’t mind because I have been able to get some good prices on AMD cards lately with one guy even saying that he was selling cards he just purchased brand new in December because their technology was becoming obsolete. Probably read this article and took it… Read more »
It is strange, yes. I thought that too. At some point I abandoned the Claymore and started WinMiner just to see in the command prompt that… its using Claymore 9.7 Beta. It connected and started mining from the WinMiner pools. In a few hours I tried again the newest Claymore and it connected to mine ETH.
I cant figure it out , the thing I have eth working from the dev builds but no blocks are ever mined for some reason , not sure what to do , I have a Linux test build that works flawlesely but this windows thing is baffling. There are no errors in event log either geth just sits there at starting server so wierd
Never underestimate the power of the Radeon RX 400 series. The Radeon RX 480 is not only the cheapest GPU in this list, it is also easily the most economic GPU. This card has a hash rate of 25 MH/s while only drawing 150 W at max load. You’ll make over $700 USD annually per card! Comparitively to the RX 580, this card is an awesome Ethereum miner!
Step – Now in the console window,  type “cd ” and copy the path to the AtiFlash directory as you did in “Step 2”, and it should look like in the picture (except your PC username  is different than mine of course)

While it sounds more complex, the idea is fairly simple. Every time a bitcoin transaction is made, the network ‘breaks’ the total amount as if it was paper money, issuing back bitcoins in a way that makes the data behave similarly to physical coins or change.
I am particularly drawn to participating in Ethereum and would love to set my computers to be involved. I’m not smart enough to be a programmer, but I love the project because it’s more than just mining for fabricated wealth.
Note : yet, there has been some bugs, one of them preventing “private transactions”, which is a feature they’ve been communicating a lot on. However it sounds like it hasn’t killed the Zcash effect ! (fixed with v1.0.1)
“- Memory overclock DOES NOT AFFECT ANYTHING. Don’t listen to what anyone says. I put my memory clock on msi afterburner slided way to the left, down to the minimum, and it does not affect anything in the lease. Those who claim it does are looking at 1-5 minute samples, not weekly averages like me. ”
Any personal computer can be used to mine for Ethereum, as long as that computer has a graphics card (GPU) with at least 2 GB of RAM available. Trying to mine for Ethereum with just your CPU (your main processor) is going to take a magnitude or two longer, will make your machine almost unusable while you are mining for a theory, and is nowhere near as efficient as it needs to be to help you turn a profit.
Start by decreasing your core clock speed to 1000 mhz from whatever the factory setting was (in the “GPU” area, change the values for state 6 and 7 to 1000 on the Frequency row). Click “Apply” (at the top right). Restart your miner and see how performance looks. There is a good chance that it’s unchanged. If that’s the case, repeat the process, but decrease the core clock speed by another 50 mhz or so. Keep moving down in 50 mhz increments until you notice mining performance drop. When that happens, bump the core clock back up to the previous value—that’s the sweet spot.
-tstop   set stop GPU temperature, miner will stop mining if GPU reaches specified temperature. For example, “-tstop 95” means 95C temperature. You can also specify values for every card, for example “-tstop 95,85,90”.
To calculate the size of the PSU you require you will need to add together the power requirements of all of your components. A site like PCPartPicker will do this for you perfectly. Add 20% on to the required as a safety factor. Also, make sure you’re using a high-quality, well recognized, and high-standard PSU, as if it blows, you could say goodbye to some very expensive equipment.
Putting it simply, your mining rig needs to solve a mathematical algorithm to mine Ethereum. The mining difficulty of the network is a measurement of how difficult this algorithm is to solve. The higher the difficulty, the less Ethereum you receive for each unit of energy the GPU on your mining rig expends. As more miners join the network, this difficulty increases.
(5) Install Overclock Tool: MSI Afterburner as the overclock setup and monitor. The following shows an optimal overclock settings for Nvidia GTX 1070 GPU, which produce 30 MH/s, 100 Watt power draw, 61C temperature with 40% fan speed.
These days, you really can’t go anywhere without hearing about Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency. Bitcoin took off in a huge way in 2017, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be slowing down anytime soon – the value just keeps climbing. So, it really isn’t surprising that in 2018, everyone is going to want a piece of the action. If you’re thinking about diving into Bitcoin or Ethereum mining, it would be wise to shop for one of the best mining GPUs you can buy today.
Once you start mining, if you find a block ethminer will output a smiley face and say “Block submitted and accepted!” and geth will output “Mined block #xxxxx”. You might also see geth say “Mined stale block #xxxxx”. Unlike other coins you could mine, stale blocks are actually worth something, so if you see stales that just means someone found the block before you did (but you still contributed). You’ll still receive a partial block reward in this case.

Note, when downloading the Claymore Miner Windows may provide a warning, but if you used Claymore’s download link can you ignore this.  He is a well-respected developer who has been building crypto miners for many years.

  1. The Ethereum Platform rests on open-source software, and there is a risk that the Ethereum Stiftung or the Ethereum Team, or other third parties not directly affiliated with the Stiftung Ethereum, may introduce weaknesses or bugs into the core infrastructural elements of the Ethereum Platform causing the system to lose ETH stored in one or more User accounts or other accounts or lose sums of other valued tokens issued on the Ethereum Platform.
Before you opt to start mining this wonderful cryptocurrency, you should be convinced that it is the best thing that you want to do. You should analyze all the necessary investments and related information and ensure that you understand them correctly. Things you need to analyze and comprehend well are like the volatility that has characterized this world of cryptocurrency and getting an ROI after a half a year of being in the business.
If you want a low cost of entry into the world of mining, then the AMD RX 480 is an excellent choice. This is because it is a bit older than the AMD Radeon RX 580, so prices are lower – when you can find one in stock. Yep, this is another AMD card that can be difficult to track down thanks to its mining ability. However with 8GB of GDDR5 RAM, it achieves a decent hash rate of 28mh/s, and again doesn’t require too much power. There are also versions available with 4GB of GDDR5 RAM, if you’re looking for an even lower cost mining GPU.
