1) I’m running ethOS at the moment, but I’m fairly certain I used that driver, however, I’ll check at a later date. I will update the article to mention that you’ll need to find out the best driver for you as you’re correct it does vary from GPU to GPU.
Mining cryptocurrency is not free money. You are trading your mining hardware’s hashing for some currency contributing to the network. It is also highly speculative and the exchange rates are volatile. You could achieve a return on investment in 90 days, a year, or never. Being smart with your purchases and not blindly purchasing “good mining cards” is the biggest protective measure.
Ethereum value does fluctuate like many similar currencies but at it’s current value a return on investment in a few months is very likely . This is not guaranteed as I have no control over the value of Ethereum however it is showing great promise as many major institutions are investing. In addition to the value in mining Ethereum this system is flexible as it is a ASIC based miner so it can mine virtually any GPU
MinerGate’s Variable Difficulty algorithm, allows small portions of the Ethereum Blocks to be sent to miners according to their equipment and effective hashrate, making Ethereum mining possible in any computer with a simple click of a mouse!
To connect all of the GPUs to your rig you’ll need a motherboard with at least 6 PCIe slots. You’ll see most motherboard offer PCI x16 and PCIe x1 slots but the risers will connect into a PCIe x16 or x1 slot (this doesn’t affect the mining hashrates).
Conversely, if you are up for it, CPU mining can be done. Just type in ‘ETHMINER’ then the enter key to start the process. The building of a DAG is still required in this step after which Geth takes over communication with Ethminer.
A few years ago, after reading the paper by pseudonym author “Satoshi Nakamoto” on Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System describing a distributed trust solution to the open network, the sense of computational beauty about it’s concepts and solutions propelled my interest to try out Bitcoin mining. The value of Bitcoin is approximately $120 USD at 2013, which is impressive for it’s growth from zero value within a short few years of Bitcoin invention.
More nodes does not increase the ability to handle traffick on any of the existing coins. Mining doesnt ‘add value’ in any other way than helping secure the network, and solving the problem of issuance. (As PoS issuance is effectively not issuance, it is evenly distributed over existing users)
Full ASIC-resistance, however, is thought to be impossible: Any mining algorithm could be subject to specialized chips. Like Vertcoin , the Bgold community therefore plans to re-deploy a new proof-of-work algorithm hard fork if it is found out that ASIC-chips for Equihash are being produced. (This plan alone, of course, could be a deterrent for any potential ASIC-producer.)
After you have installed the driver restart your PC. If you’ve  already modified your GPU’s before, there might be a possibility that you won’t be able to see them anymore. That is most likely a problem with the RX 570 series and it’s very rare with some RX 580 models. The problem comes from the bios mod, because it changes how the GPU’s work and you  will need to Patch your drivers to make them work properly or  the driver will just end up disabling  or hiding the GPU’s (Error 43). This is only needed if you can’t see your bios’ modified GPU’s in the Windows Device Manager. Download the Pixel Clock Patcher. Run the program, it should give you a message that the values were patched. After that restart your PC and you should have proper working modified GPU’s.
Note: In this tutorial, I assume that you have your graphics cards connected to a motherboard and have already installed/updated Windows 7 and the drivers for your graphics cards. Make sure to install CUDA if you are using NVIDIA cards.
You could purchase a brand-new computer, but that will cut into your potential profits. Many home-based Ethereum miners choose to build their own systems as a way to save cash. If you like to tinker with hardware and have a lot of spare parts around your house, building your own system might make sense. If you have an older PC lying around, a less complicated option might be to upgrade your existing hardware so that it is suitable for mining.
A car could be uploaded to the blockchain. You, the customer, sees the car. You want to buy the car, and since it’s on the blockchain with a smart contract, you can buy it instantaneously. You pay with crypto, and the car is bought in real time. Everything is executed on the smart contract. You now own the title and all information about the car.
While the ROI – Return on Investment can go past a year for the Ethereum mining GPUs that have been mentioned above, it can be reduced if you opt to use more than one GPU. You will not get much by using just one video card to mine, and so deciding to purchase more than one GPU will be the best thing to do. But before you fully venture into that, you should also make yourself aware of the profit your mining rig will bring as well as the amount of money that you will spend on the energy.
What we see here is a 2.5 times improvement over the Ethereum hashrate of a GTX 1080. Eventually, this card was tailored to mine Ethereum and maybe one more coin as a secondary. I wonder about the price of those cards.

The next step is to turn on your PSU and the miner will power up from there. Next get on a computer or mobile device that is connected to the same network as the miner. You will need to enter in the miner’s IP address. Since most miners now come with DHCP enabled you do not have to manually set the IP address, you just need to look at the IP table on your router or use a scanning tool. A scanning tool like AngryIP allows you to scan every device on your network and see its IP address. When you run the scan you will see AntMiner as one of the devices. From there in your browser window you type in the miners address.
