Sorry für den leichten Off-Topic Link zu Monero, allerdings ist die Developer Community dort sehr offen für Diskussionen und Anregungen, was dazu führt, dass komplizierte Dinge auch mal vereinfacht dargestellt werden können. Howard Chu (hyc), der die Frage beantwortet, ist der Autor von LMDB, einer Datenbankengine, die einen erheblichen Performanceschub für Monero’s Blockchain gebracht hat und womöglich auch für andere Blockchains bringen könnte.

With a proof-of-stake system, holders of Ethereum stake coins by putting them up as collateral to validate transactions. This means that miners will soon be obsolete.
Could someone help me out here. I’ve got a R280X that should run around 290 h/s on equihash. I runs great guns on Cryptonite 485 h/s but when I start Claymore Zen64 miner it starts out at 275 h/s and then starts to throttle back to 150 h/s. It drops my clock speed in half and I have no control over setting thru MSI afterburner. It mines along but at half the speed 500mhz.

After you found the optimum Memory clock rate, we will need to try and push the GPU Core clock rate to 150 MHz. That’s important because on the last step we will try to reduce power draw of the GPU by heavy amount, and that’s only possible with 150 MHz on the GPU, basically the closer you will get to 150 MHz you will save more power, no need to go over 150 MHz.
Am I up and mining now? or is it just running in a loop? I did everything right in the instructions. I am running windows 10 on Nvidia Geforce Gtx 960M with an intel core i7. any info would be greatly appreciated.
Initially I started testing with the go-ethereum client but started to find mixed results with certain GPUs, I wasn’t sure why that was and couldn’t solve a few issues, so I scrapped the results and moved on. Parity is another popular client, but instead I decided to use Claymore’s Dual Ethereum miner version 9.6 for a few reasons. Number one was it worked really well with the current generation AMD and Nvidia GPUs.
The part before the -dwal is the same as for the solo ethereum mining described above. The -dwal has the same representation as -ewal, it just is the mining pool of the dual coin. I would recommend to mine ONLY Decred as a dual coin, because it has the highest efficiency of all of them . As described above the Dual coin uses the GPU’s core for mining and not all dual coins give the same results. For RX 5xx cards the best way would be to go with Decred. I use the Supernova decred mining pool. You need to create an account there, and the account name will serve you as a decred mining pool address. This way it gives you one more security improvement, because you don’t show people your address, instead just your account name. On your account you will need to create a worker and give it a name for example: worker1, and leave it’s password as it is (“password”). Now to connect properly to the decred mining pool you would need to put “-dwal supernovaAccountName.supernovaWorkerName”        
IMPORTANT – be very careful what bios you are going to flash on what GPU, I would recommend you to never have different card types plugged in when you are going to flash, so you don’t flash by accident a wrong bios to a wrong card (even if this is almost impossible, because if you use the AtiFlash properly (as explained in this guide) it should give you a warning that you can’t flash the specific bios, because it’s a different type than your original card)

I’ve had several people ask about the NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB . Though not my first choice, this GPU can be overclocked to mine at 24.7 Mh/s while only pulling 80 watts of power.  Just like the GTX 1070 and the Rx 580, you can find this GPU conveniently sold in a six pack here, here and here for building a mining rig.
AMD video cards used to have a significant edge over Nvidia for cryptocurrency mining. This is no longer the case. the AMD Rx 580 and AMD Rx 570 are both great choices. The Rx 480 does 29Mh/s and the Rx 570 does 27Mh/s. I’d also recommend checking on eBay if Amazon is out of stock.  Regarding which models to buy, just make sure they are the twin fan designs from any of the Sapphire, Asus, Gigabyte or MSI brands. They are well built and run cool and efficient compared to some others. Amazon often limits the number of GPU’s to 3 per customer, so if you plan to build a 6 GPU rig, I would recommend getting the six pack that is usually listed here and here. This particular pack of special edition GPU’s are overclocked already and ready to mine at maximum hash rates out of the box.

If you have a GPU with 2GB of memory and receive the following error: “Allocating/mapping single buffer failed with: clCreateBuffer(-61). GPU can’t allocate the DAG in a single chunk. Bailing.” You can try setting the GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT environment variable to 100 by running in the command line the following command before the miner: SET GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 to see if it will fix the problem.
We’re going to basically do the reverse with the memory clock speed, but there are some important things to know. If you have a GPU that is factory-clocked at 1750 mhz or less (virtually every 4GB RX 470/480 GPU, and most RX 470 8GB GPUs as well—the Sapphire Nitro being the notable exception—then 1750 mhz is going to probably be your limit via this method. Increasing the memory clock beyond 1750 mhz will likely result in a change to less-aggressive memory timings that will result in a loss of performance, and there is no way to prevent this outside of BIOS modifications. So if you have a card clocked at under 1750 mhz, bump it up to exactly 1750 mhz, which will give you a decent performance boost. If you have a 2000 mhz card, you can increase it incrementally, like the reverse of what we did with the core clock. Eventually you’ll experience system instability: artifacts on the screen, a GPU crash, bluescreen, etc. When that happens, back down a bit until things are stable.
The Fiji based GPUs such as the Nano and Fury aren’t that cost effective and as the file size increases due to their limited VRAM buffer capacity they do fall well behind the R9 390 series. When it all boils down to it the GTX 1070 looks to be king as it offers solid performance and a very high level of efficiency. The R9 390 and 390X are faster, but will consume much more power.
Settling on a GPU is a complex task and you can browse plenty of advice about which ones are the most profitable based on hash rate performance, power consumption and the initial expense of the card. You probably want to set up a mining rig, a machine that might be composed of multiple GPUs and might take a week to build.
