Setup was simple enough, we simply found a pool to join and what miner we would be using.  We decided to go with the Ethermine pool but finding a miner was a bit trickier.  We first tried Genoils Miner but never was able to get the stratum server connected so we moved on to Claymores Miner and that one took off like a demon, so we stayed there.  Claymores Miner allowed us to use Radeon cards as well as Pascal based GeForce cards without spending hours in configurations.

Womit wir wieder bei Resourcenverschwendung sind und bei Millionen Nutzern werden Millionen Virtueller Server bei zentralisierten Anbietern gehostet, die im Grunde nicht zur Dezentralisierung beitragen, aber Strom fressen. Aber je länger ich über alle Po* Möglichkeiten nachdenke, ist eine auf Dauer funktionierende Kryptowährung nur in Form von Arbeit möglich, die sich bei praktisch allen in Strom niederschlägt. Das ist auch völlig in Ordnung, denn nur so lässt sich ein Netzwerk absichern.
Extra Fans. Especially if you have multiple rigs, then make sure you attach some additional fans to your case/ housing. That certainly seems to be the consensus on the mining forums I’m following. /r/EtherMining is now inundated with people who lack the very basic skills needed to assemble a computer and run mining software, but are attracted to the prospect of free money. Many of those people also lack the ability to do basic arithmetic and the sense to realize that the only way they will turn a profit is if the USD value of ETH rises sharply — and that if that happens they’d be better off in any case just buying ETH now instead of blowing $2000 – 3000 on equipment.
NANOPOOL – I use this pool to mine ethereum, and to monitor my rigs. At the part of -ewall after your ethereum adress you can put    “yourEthWallet.yourRigName/yourReportingEmailAddress” . That way nanopool will send you a email if one of your rigs goes offline. Also at nanopool website you can check your current hashrate of your rigs. If you see one rig reporting lower hashrate than it should you know something is wrong. Nanopool works very well as a monitoring tool.
AMD offers special mining-specific “blockchain compute” drivers that deliver considerably more performance than their standard drivers, so that’s what we’ll be using. If the computer that you’re installing to will not be a dedicated mining rig (eg: you plan to also play games on it, etc), you may prefer to use the latest available standard driver.
