“Ethereum Mining Anfänger”

Dear JR, I’m experiencing a problem that showed up today, after an unwanted windows update (that I was stopping for about 3 weeks), my mining rig slowed down a 35% in hash rate. I have windows 10. Are you or anyone else you know having the same problem ?
By mining your own coins locally, you can always upgrade your mining hardware on your terms. While some remote mining providers allow you to upgrade to a higher hash rate on the fly, at the end of the day it’s always at their discretion and you can’t be sure if the upgrade is giving you the best value for your money and how much money the company is pocketing. With local mining you can be sure you’re getting exactly what you pay for when you upgrade, and you can also upgrade other aspects of the computer if you want to use the rig for something else such as storage or as a server.
Approximately every 12-15 seconds, a miner finds a block. If miners start to solve the puzzles more quickly or slowly than this, the algorithm automatically readjusts the difficulty of the problem so that miners spring back to roughly the 12-second solution time.
ETH mining is ASIC-proof, meaning that only GPU’s and CPU’s can be used to mine ETH. CPUs, in all reality, is too cumbersome to use as a means to mining Ethereum; CPU’s simply will not do the trick. AMD video cards are preferred and usually are more efficient, but you can also mine via NVIDIA cards as well. You can get a list of GPU’s optimal for mining here: http://www.mininghwcomparison.com/list/index.php
Up to a point, more VRAM will also improve performance. The present difference between a 4- and 8-gig version of the same card can be up to 5 MH/s (To clarify, MH/s stands for megahash per second, and a megahash is a million hash attempts.)
To run your mining rig you only need about a 60gb hard drive which you should get as a solid state drive. This will allow the OS to run smoothly and prevent drive failures. If you plan on mining without a pool you’ll want to get a larger hard drive to download the entire blockchain (~10gb+) but we highly recommend using a mining pool.
Unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum is also a platform for smart contracts. It offers a way for organizations or individuals to enter into contracts that are automatically fulfilled when certain conditions are met without a bank or other financial service acting as an intermediary.
I’ve had success both ways and so if you run into an issue with one method delete the drivers and try the other method.  And if you do need to remove your drivers use the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) program from Guru3d.com to remove everything cleanly and then start over.
While some people have speculated that Bitmain is working on a new ASIC mining device for Ethereum, there’s no real evidence to back up these claims. Supposedly, this project is code-named Antminer F3 and will consist of three mainboards. With 6 ASIC processors per board, the rumored unit has 72 GB of DRAM memory and is capable of achieving speeds of up to 220 MH/s. It sounds like a dream come true for a lot of Ethereum miners, even though it’s highly unlikely such a system will ever be created.
get 80+gold or 80+platinum certified PSU’s ONLY. From my own experiences, I have heard many times that the cheap PSU’s caught on fire or even have melted, thus making serious damage to the motherboard.
I highly recommend purchasing coins with the exchange Binance or Coinbase (if you just want Ethereum). Binance has by far the most variety of tokens to invest in, Coinbase has an amazing user experience and both are considered extremely secure. To purchase coins with Coinbase click here, or with Binance click here.
Haha, gotcha! I’m not actually going to tell you how to install geth. That’s because they have pretty good Windows installation instructions on their project wiki, under the heading Building From Source. You’ll want to ignore step #1 (you’ve already got git, and you need mercurial). Also, step #5 is likely to be the hardest and most error prone part. I’d follow this guide for setting your environment variables if you don’t know how. Note that after setting your environment variables, you’ll need to close and reopen any command prompts or PowerShells for those settings to take effect.

  1. It is no small wonder, therefore, that almost all of the aforementioned Radeon cards have been swept up by eager buyers. Nvidia cards aren’t affected and can still be bought easily, as they are a lot less efficient at mining Ethereum blocks. This even goes for newer, expensive Pascal models like the GeForce GTX 1000.
From what I understand the algorithm that ethereum uses can’t be done better with Asics by design. Being the 2nd largest crypto for so long I would expect the market to already be flooded if they could.
Whatever the hardware, whatever the GPU : it will heat anyway, a lot. The processing units will be at almost 100% of charge 24/7, so a good cooling is needed. For example, a controlled and well dissipated GPU will – at least – end up with 170 ºF (75 C°). A desktop computer case ? No way. It’s all about airflow. You can add box fans if you want.
Setup will now launch. Close down any other open apps and agree to the license agreement. On the next screen (Install Options), select ‘Add MinerGate to the system PATH for current user’ as well as ‘Create MinerGate Desktop Icon’. Click ‘Next’, then ‘Install’.
