On the Green selection you can see the “Memory Type”. In this example it’s Elpida. If you bought your GPU’s all at once, and they are the same card type and if you see  that they all have the same Memory Type, that means that they all CAN USE THE SAME BIOS. Exporting GPU BIOS can be done with clicking on the Red circle as displayed in the picture above, under the “BIOS Version”. I’ve been using Minergate for about five months now. We have three MacBook Pros in the house so I connected them all to one account via log in and I mine! Granted I can only mine via CPU and I’m probably mining at a loss most of the time, occasionally I luck out with the pools.

With Ethereum, the door is opened wider as only GPUs can be used to mine. In order to have any hash rate that is comparable to an ASIC miner, you’d have to string together dozens of GPUs. This creates an ecosystem that is more balanced and prevents consolidation of power. To be more technical, Ethereum mining requires more RAM than an ASIC miner can provide since ASIC mining is actually CPU mining, not GPU mining.
For the hard drive, using an SSD is essential. While SSDs are more expensive, you will only need a 16GB one, which will set you back less than $30. If you’re planning to solo mine, it’s recommended that you buy a 32 or 64GB one, but again this will only be a few dollars more.
Moreover, each GPU is powered through the PCIe 2.0 x16 slot and (for our powerful GPUs) an additional cable (6 or 8 pins) plugged into the PSU. Problem : when the GPU is connected with a PCIe 2.0 x1 slot instead of a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot… how is the GPU powered ? Well, the answer is on the USB-riser : you’ll power it thanks to a Molex cable. Finally, will you be able to plug all your cables on the PSU ? Will you have enough cables ? This should be an important criteria.
GPUs were the next available option for miners after noticing that the CPUs were becoming slower with each given day. They realized that the energy consumption of graphics cards was quite high, and so they could be used to mine Bitcoins. AMD GPUs are actually the best in this regard.

Dear fiend, I’m experiencing a problem that showed up today, after an unwanted windows update (that I was stopping for about 3 weeks), my mining rig slowed down a 35% in hash rate. I have windows 10. Are you or anyone else you know having the same problem ?
