You can get Windows 10 Pro for FREE at their official website. You can download their Windows tool for making a bootable USB stick(If you are doing this on a PC that has Original Windows already on it) or download the Windows 10 ISO from their site and make yourself a bootable USB, install Windows on your SSD and , you will never have to pay for the license if you don’t want to. Still don’t have any GPU’s connected to your Mining rig! Because the first thing we want is to optimize Windows for our own mining purposes. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART THAT PEOPLE DO WRONG! If you want to have original Windows 10, buy them at Kinguin. The only difference from OEM version instead of Retail version is that you can have the Windows activated on only 1 PC (you can’t reactivate the key on another PC), this version is used by most miners.
What we see here is a 2.5 times improvement over the Ethereum hashrate of a GTX 1080. Eventually, this card was tailored to mine Ethereum and maybe one more coin as a secondary. I wonder about the price of those cards.
Head over to MyEtherWallet.com (Note: Please beware of phishing websites. Do not enter your key on a website you arrived at by clicking a link. Always triple-check the domain. The real site is MyEtherWallet dot com)
Figure. This picture explains the Blockchain Security by showing the current Block has the hash value of the previous Block. If the previous Block content has been modified, the hash value will be different.
I’m wondering why EVGA’s 1080 Ti FTW3(both air and air and water cooled) have a dual BIOS if that is the case which I am fairly positive it is. I guess we just have an extra level of protection if we update the BIOS incorrectly.
However, my miners are closed-source so I cannot prove that they are not viruses. If you think that I write viruses instead of good miners – do not use this miner, or at least use it on systems without any valuable data.
Years ago (spring of 2015) I had mined ETHEREUM (solo) using GETH in UBUNTU 14 and one time the mother board gave me some trouble so I had to change much newer MB ( may be too much newer one). After MB was changed the computer was not posting to C driver any more .Struggled many hours but at last I had to format the HD with about 250 ETH (all gone at present situation)remained inside and reinstalled GETH and in short time I lost all the interest in mining I completely abandoned my miner. At that time ETH was about only $1~2 some times 50 cents so I did not care much and left it alone all this years but I saved the HD in my draw and now it is worth 1/4 of million dollars now. Now I use TESTDISK in UBUNTU 14 and trying to go back to the state before the format to find the ETH. Please help me where I should look for (which folder which file if I can revival them) those accumulated 250 ETH exist. HOW I GET IT BACK.
An ideal DAC platform would harness the collective processing power of full nodes to process transactions, secure the network, and payout equally based on per block generation, similar to a mining pool. I know it sounds socialist, but it’s not because work is required. Every miner is contributing to the total processing power of the network as long as they are connected.

The AM200 Ethereum Miner has been in development for a number of months with the goal of delivering a high quality solution suitable for almost any environment. Proper cooling, and web based management of the miner provide for ease of use not seen with many Ethereum Miners to date,
The good news is that getting started with Ethereum Mining is now easier than ever.  You do not need to download the full Ethereum blockchain, which is now over 20+ GB’s and still growing!  You also do not need to manage clunky command line miners with manual instructions.
At the of the install process go to CUSTOM instead of Express and ONLY select “AMD Display Driver” and “AMD Settings”. During install SKIP  the installing of ReLive,  because we won’t need it.
Now that you’ve got your hands dirty, just sit back and watch your zcash roll in! Be aware that you are mining to a transparent address (it starts with t). You can follow this guide to learn how to create a private and transparent wallet
Now you need to run the program you just downloaded. To do this you need to run Command Prompt. You can do this by searching in the search function in Windows for “CMD” and then clicking on it when it shows up.
So you just found out about Ethereum mining and looking to build your first Ethereum mining rig. This guide will walk you through choosing GPUs, hardware, and what software to run for mining Ethereum.
I would recommend EWBF miner for Zcash, but Claymore dual mining is just as good. Just in case anyone doesn’t know you can dual mine any coin you want, your not limited to just ETH and Decred or ETH and SIA. Just need to read the “Read Me” Text doc in your miners folder. I made a short explanation video, mind you I am not a top end Content creator… but should help..
Nvidia GPU’s CANNOT be bios moded, which makes them a bit easier to setup. For them it’s best to only use MSI Afterburner to overclock and limit their power draw. The downside is that you can’t get the maximum out of them, cause we can’t replace the memory timings.
Great guide, I wish I had this a few months ago before I started mknkn. I’ve gone through all this the hard way which is good but this guide is very clear and straightforward. Having said that I wonder if you would have any idea how to fix the issue I have come across. After mining for two weeks on windows 10 with claymore on nanopool @ 6 x 1070 GeForce. My miner went offline. It says “ cannot write a buffer for DAG” CUDA error 77. It also says “an illegal instruction was encountered” and “calc DAG failed” I have increased the virtual memory but that did not work. My hard drive says it has not 15gb of 110.

After that scroll all the way down till you see your GPU’s, they are located at the end. Now after you found the GPU’s, select all sensors except “Memory Errors” and HIDE them (right click on the sensors and press “hide”). Ater that, you will have something as in the image below:

This guide shows you the basics of solo mining, it should give you a good idea of how everything is connected, if you would like to use a mining pool instead you can try our How to connect to an Ethereum mining pool guide.
