The author of the mining software that we’ll be using recommends this step, although I’ve never encountered issues with a smaller pagefile (edit 4/19/17: I tried mining on a machine with only 4GB of physical RAM and got terrible performance until I increased my pagefile to 16GB). Here’s what you need to do:
As my title says, I am a complete newbie to the Ethereum Project, but not to the cryptography in general. Although this will be the first time I will consider investing in the mining process. And I just would like to know, what is the best current hardware is out there for mining, and where best to find available in stock to ship.
Certain hashing algorithms are designed to prevent a massive ASIC advantage over GPU or CPU mining. However, the truth is an ASIC can be designed for any coin. It’s simply a matter of calculating how much money it would take to develop the ASIC, and how much your profits improve by doing so. For Bitcoin’s SHA-256 algorithm, an ASIC would increase your hash rate tremendously and Bitcoin’s price and transaction fees make it very profitable to mine. For other coins with more memory intensive algorithms and lower prices, you might not see a quick return on your ASIC investment. 
Fans. Liquid cooling requires more thought as it is the GPUs that require the cooling and you will have to purchase the correct GPU liquid cooling add-on, or purchase a GPU with the liquid cooling built in.
No doubt some of you saw the Ethereum mining guide for Linux that I published last week and balked at all of that “command-line nonsense”. Linux isn’t everyone’s thing, and that’s ok—if Windows is your OS of choice, then this guide is for you!
This direct comparison between these configurations shows just how powerful a Polaris 10 setup is when mining, even edging out the 1080+1070 config.  Take the upfront cost of $400 (think MSRP folks) for the two Polaris cards or more than double for the Pascal.  Admittedly if you were doing this you would pick up a pair of 1070s rather than touch the 1080 with a 10 foot pole.

Bei der Auswahl von einem Ethereum Mining Pool ist besonders auf die Seriosität und die Gewinnausschüttung zu achten. Manche Plattformen berechnen zudem höhere Transaktionsgebühren als andere. Um einem Ethereum Mining Pool beizutreten genügt eine schnelle Suche im Internet. Die meisten Mining Pools haben eigenen Webseiten, auf denen man dann gleich auch schnell und einfach beitreten kann.
To run your mining rig you only need about a 60gb hard drive which you should get as a solid state drive. This will allow the OS to run smoothly and prevent drive failures. If you plan on mining without a pool you’ll want to get a larger hard drive to download the entire blockchain (~10gb+) but we highly recommend using a mining pool.
I had the brilliant idea of combining 10 such 16gb cards, with not but a power supply, small ram chip for bios, and 16 gb of ram and a memory controller, all feeding into 1 FPGA “gateway” device that would send out the work, and the biggest problem I ran into there is a data transfer latency timing issue, where basically I would in theory be submitting all stale shares because, by the time I sent the signal, processed it, sent it back, then received it, then passed it on those 10+ nano seconds would cause me to end up with an effective hash rate of below 1.5 Mh/s. so for 10 cards at 16 gb at a likely cost of $750 per card, or $7500- I could end up with a whopping 240 mh/s @ 2500 watts, IE worse than a rig of Rx 480’s.
Change power options so that the computer automatically turns itself on whenever power is restored. The reason for this is two-fold: first, it’ll make sure that your miner automatically starts up after a power outage. Second, it makes powering the computer on much easier if you don’t happen to have a power switch connected to the motherboard.
GPU’s are much more efficient than CPU at mining, but ensure that you calculate your profitability for your particular card based on its hashrate and your cost of power. The 7790 is a rather old card and only has 1GB of memory so hashrate may be low for the amount of power it consumes. If your power is free, then perhaps just throw whatever hardware you want at it and see what rates you can achieve. If its winter it can be a good way to warm the house 🙂

Since Ethash (Ethereum Hash function) is essentially GPU memory bounded, overclock the GPU memory is sufficient without increasing the GPU core clock. This should reduce the power draw and the temperature of the GPU, while maintaining a great hashrate!

Ein zweiter, und vielleicht wichtigerer Grund für die Difficulty-Bomb ist jedoch der geplante Wechsel von Ethereum von PoW zu PoS. PoW bedeutet “Proof of Work” und meint, dass die Miner um den Block-Reward konkurrieren, indem sie beweisen, dass ihre Computer Rechenzyklen verbrauchen. PoS hingegen bedeutet “Proof of Stake” und meint, dass die Miner nicht echte Computerleistung investieren, sondern lediglich Ether, mit denen sie simulierte Miner kaufen und mit diesen um die Blöcke konkurrieren. Anstatt Miner heißen sie nun Staker.
@Brips somebody else tested my CUDA miner on a GTX980 and the result wasn’t spectacular, roughly the same speed as OpenCL. On my todo list now first is getting the CMake config right, so you guys can build it for Ubuntu, and after that adding additional kernel tuning parameters so you can achieve maximum thread occupancy depending on the card you use.
Based on the release notes from the company, the driver will boost performance for “Blockchain Compute Workloads,” thus bolstering the efficiency of digital currency mining computers that use a graphics processing unit (GPU) for mining.
Depending on where you live the cost of electricity could potentially disqualify you from profiting from mining at home at any rate. The hardware used for mining consumes vast amounts of electricity so if your electrical costs are high you might end up spending more in electricity than you’ll ever make back in Ether from your mining efforts.
Payouts on Nicehash are minimum 0.1BTC four times per day. It’s also important to note that nicehash is approximately 20% less overall hashrate, but the switching feature may allow you to be more profitable than if you were to simply mine Ethereum.
While, on the surface, this is incredibly easy, as I’ll show below, you must be aware that mining is very much like trading. Cryptocurrency prices fluctuate, your equipment might break, and so on. For example, when I started putting this project together, the rough number estimate was that I’d recoup my investment within six months. Now, with the same calculations, it would take eight months. The advantage of mining over trading is that coin prices can be somewhat more stable, and at the end of the day, you’ll still have the equipment. Which, if you’ve chosen wisely, wouldn’t have lost too much of its value.
I would also recommend you buy an SSD as it is a just little bit expensive than HDD. So, you don’t have to buy any 240 GB SSD or; higher 120GB is enough. The only things that will be going on the SSD will be OS, Drivers & mining software.
