I see a lot of people are having this same problem. I believe that something must have changed in the new version of Claymore which is causing this error. Can you perhaps install an older version of Claymore?
When it comes to choosing your Ethereum mining operating software, there are three main contenders: Windows, Linux, and ethOS. If you’re a Mac fanboy, it is possible, but it’s advised for numerous reasons.
Unterm Strich ist Ether Mining also gewinnbringend.
There are two types of mining hardware: CPUs and GPUs. GPUs boast a higher hash rate, meaning they can guess puzzle answers more quickly. At time of writing, GPUs are now the only option for ether miners.
Mining is a computationally intensive work that requires a lot of processing power and time. Mining is the act of participating in a given peer distributed cryptocurrency network in consensus. The miner is subsequently rewarded for providing solutions to challenging math problems. It is done by putting the computer’s hardware to use with mining applications.
The pool tab will indicate that both Ethereum and Decred is being mined as the same time. Please note that in the overview on the upper part of the application, only the Ethereum statistics will be displayed.
I highly recommend purchasing coins with the exchange Binance or Coinbase (if you just want Ethereum). Binance has by far the most variety of tokens to invest in, Coinbase has an amazing user experience and both are considered extremely secure. To purchase coins with Coinbase click here, or with Binance click here.
While it sounds more complex, the idea is fairly simple. Every time a bitcoin transaction is made, the network ‘breaks’ the total amount as if it was paper money, issuing back bitcoins in a way that makes the data behave similarly to physical coins or change.
That’s ultimately why we created this list of the best mining GPUs, and we didn’t just look into the specific needs of each graphics card, but we also included our exclusive price comparison tool to bring you the lowest prices from every corner of the internet.
What will 100 or 200 ether mine 3-4 years from now? Ask yourself that. If you don’t know, check out the history of popular coins like bitcoin and litecoin, etc. Check out how much they skyrocketted in price. Read forums about people who sold them really early and didn’t wait. Find out how much REGRET everyone has who had the chance to be millionaires. Read the success stories of 20 year olds who spend $200 bucks on bitcoin and are now millionaires.
It’s really just another way of thinking that demands people be more careful with their money. This is hardly a bad thing, but it’s definitely a major change from the “reverse-anything” banking world we have now.
I won’t go into quite the same excruciating level of detail as I did with my Linux guide, as it’s probably a safe assumption that anyone reading a guide about building a custom cryptocurrency mining rig is already quite comfortable with basic Windows tasks. The steps outlined below should be more than adequate for the average Windows user, but feel free to leave comments if anything is unclear!
For the hard drive, using an SSD is essential. While SSDs are more expensive, you will only need a 16GB one, which will set you back less than $30. If you’re planning to solo mine, it’s recommended that you buy a 32 or 64GB one, but again this will only be a few dollars more.
Before you opt to start mining this wonderful cryptocurrency, you should be convinced that it is the best thing that you want to do. You should analyze all the necessary investments and related information and ensure that you understand them correctly. Things you need to analyze and comprehend well are like the volatility that has characterized this world of cryptocurrency and getting an ROI after a half a year of being in the business.
Experimentation with various GPU selections in the calculator will reveal a card with the best price to performance to power consumption combination (expressed as MH/s per Currency Unit). Keep in mind that AMD cards outperform NVidia for cryptocurrency mining purposes.
Keep in mind, though, the mining world is a whirlwind of change. The tools that you pick up today might be obsolete next year, and some mining pools might fall away while others emerge, so it’s worth keeping aware of industry shifts.
Update, 2/5/2018: We have a new article posted detailing CyptoNote (Monero) mining performance with AMD’s Threadripper processor with a CPU-optimized algorithm, alongside a handful of other X86 processors and a powerful GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPU.
The costs incurred in connection with the returning of the product, part, or component to us shall be carried by the product owner. If the product, part, or component is returned uninsured, you assume all risks of loss or damage during shipment.
Bitcoin Core mining has gotten so high powered with the race to be the winner to solve a block that it has evolved into pooled mining where a group of miners want to have as much hash power as possible to get a share of the Bitcoin Core block reward. By combining your hash rate with that of many others you have a better chance of solving blocks (creating a block) and getting the block reward. Bitcoin.com has launched it’s own mining pool with competitive pricing, which you can register for and begin pool mining today.

  1. If you want to get serious with mining I strongly recommend using Linux as it isn’t plagued with driver issues, mines more stable, is more flexible for your setups, and (for some cards like the GTX 1070) gets a drastically better hash rate. Also if you plan on having more than 4 cards per motherboard Linux is a much better choice, as Windows starts to have issues with PCIe slot order and other shenanigans that go down you definitely don’t want to deal with. There is even a distribution of Linux specifically for mining (though it isn’t free) that is very easy to set up called EthOS. That fact that this guide uses Windows for mining indicates that it is a quick dive into mining without all the mess of optimizing and customization that many of the tools used have to offer, so while it might not be the most comprehensive guide, it will quickly get you a foundation to build from.
The amazing thing about Bitcoin ASICs is that, as hard as they were to design, analysts who have looked at this have said this may be the fastest turnaround time – essentially in the history of integrated circuits – for specifying a problem, which is mining Bitcoins, and turning it around to have a working chip in people’s hands.

With so many changes coming to Ethereum in the future, it is expected that interest in this altcoin will only continue to increase. Whether or not that means there is a future for ASIC mining hardware focused on Ethereum is a different matter altogether. Bitmain has not officially confirmed this product will come to market, and common sense says they will never do so. Then again, Ethereum’s switch to proof-of-stake may still be years away, for all we know. An Ethereum ASIC miner is an interesting idea, but for now, it’s nothing more than an illusion.
