Vereinfacht funktioniert es, dass z.B. ab 1MB durchschnittlicher Blocksize der letzten 100 Blöcke auf zwei Chains geshardet wird und auf eine kommen alle Transaktionen, deren Hash mit 0-7 beginnt, auf die zweite alle mit 8-f. Jede Chain hat dann lediglich ihre Transaktionen und benötigt dann nur den jeweils letzten Blockhash der anderen Chain. Falls die Blöcke im Schnitt wieder auf >1MB wachsen, gibt es einen Shard auf 4 Chains. Auch eine Zusammenführung wäre denkbar, wenn die Blocksize auf unter die Hälfte sinkt… Und es wäre natürlich großen Betreibern überlassen, allen Chains zu folgen (und auch zu minen), wenn sie dies für schnellere Verifizierung benötigen. Natürlich ist das alles noch sehr vage und theoretisch, Details müssten definiert, implementiert und ausgiebig getestet werden. Mit zk-Snarks gibt es heute auch eine Möglichkeit, die jeweils andere Chain zu verifizieren, ohne deren Inhalt zu kennen. Diese halte ich aber noch für zu wenig getestet und wenn selbst Zooko meint, es ist Magie, die er nicht versteht, aber seinen Coin darauf aufbaut, sollte man vorsichtig sein. Für mich ist das jedoch der Erfolg versprechendste Ansatz für eine wirklich dezentrale Kryptowährung, die auch skalierbar ist.
One of three things is going on here, either the person really does not know what they are talking about (e.g. hashrates for RX 400 & 500 series, the R9 only coming in 4gb, etc), or they are advertising for Nvidia, or they are attempting to get a sell off for AMD cards. The SSD is on it’s on SATA power connections. There are two additional SATA power cables plugged into the PSU, with 2x GPU’s on each SATA power cable connected to the 6pin to SATA cable from the powered risers. The powered risers are connected from USB on the riser to either a 1x or 16x PCIe slot on the motherboard. Each GPU has a dedicated power line going to the PSU.
There are other video cards like the higher end R9 series from AMD that I’ve chosen to not include here simply because they are an older generation of video cards and use a lot of power by comparison. I’ll be updating this list of GPU mining video cards regularly as new cards from both AMD and Nvidia are released.
But, here is a good trick that keeps me going – When I mine Ethereum I do not sell it immediately I wait till the prices of Ethereum has gone up. By this way, my return of investment is met very early.
Here’s the only real drawback to this card: It’s an all-round excellent performer, so that mining demand has driven its price from the regular $400 range to over $700! If you’re able to find it at a lower price, don’t hesitate to snap it up.
As for the RX 500 and 400 series GPUs, memory capacity clearly isn’t the issue as the 8GB cards still suffer. I believe the issue is memory bandwidth, at least when comparing the RX 580 to the R9 390, for example. That said this doesn’t explain why Nvidia’s GTX 1050 Ti sees no performance degradation, so perhaps it is a driver issue. Compared to the R9 390 series which features a massive 512-bit wide memory bus for a bandwidth of 384 GB/s, the 580 uses a 256-bit wide bus for 256 GB/s. So that could certainly explain the issue, at least when comparing those two GPUs.

Years ago (spring of 2015) I had mined ETHEREUM (solo) using GETH in UBUNTU 14 and one time the mother board gave me some trouble so I had to change much newer MB ( may be too much newer one). After MB was changed the computer was not posting to C driver any more .Struggled many hours but at last I had to format the HD with about 250 ETH (all gone at present situation)remained inside and reinstalled GETH and in short time I lost all the interest in mining I completely abandoned my miner. At that time ETH was about only $1~2 some times 50 cents so I did not care much and left it alone all this years but I saved the HD in my draw and now it is worth 1/4 of million dollars now. Now I use TESTDISK in UBUNTU 14 and trying to go back to the state before the format to find the ETH. Please help me where I should look for (which folder which file if I can revival them) those accumulated 250 ETH exist. HOW I GET IT BACK.
The Ethereum mining difficulty had been steadily increasing since July but recently dropped from a high of ~3,000T to ~1,500T. This dip was caused by the Byzantine fork but isn’t as advantageous as it seems. Even though the difficulty decreased, the block reward also decreased from 5 ETH to 3 ETH effectively canceling out any benefit from the difficulty change.
Ameer Rosic uses ‘if this than that’ logic to explain smart contracts. If we create a code online on the blockchain, and someone puts money into the contract, the next action will be executed. This may be a digital contract being sent to somebody’s email, for example. This trigger may execute something else, so on and so on.
