Most efficient algo remains Groestlcoin which now includes segwit. And no marketing for some reason. Devs seem more hobbiests than promoters as a ton of development and zero exposure. No Barry’s batting that ball.
From a security minded engineer: How can I trust someone sharing Windows executable via Google Drive and using WinRar? The guide is nice but it raises lots of security concerns. There’s no auditable open source code and stamp by security experts. Not long ago we had WannaCry spreading in the wild.
AMD offers special mining-specific “blockchain compute” drivers that deliver considerably more performance than their standard drivers, so that’s what we’ll be using. If the computer that you’re installing to will not be a dedicated mining rig (eg: you plan to also play games on it, etc), you may prefer to use the latest available standard driver.
GPUs also provide stable growth of hashing power. Even in the great depletion of GPUs we saw in all retail locations after litecoin jumped up to $50 there was only a doubling in the litecoin difficulty and that doubling occurred fairly slowly over about a month and a half period. When the Scrypt ASICs came online this month it was obvious virtually overnight. This stable growth and predictable access to hardware (compared to ASICs) encourages average folks to look into GPU mining as they can have a certain amount of predictability in the outcome if they are going to invest in a new GPU for that purpose or add wear and tear to their beloved gaming hardware.
The AMD Radeon R9 295X2 came out in April 2014 and is over two years old, but this Dual-GPU card is able to be at the top of the performance chart with 57.6 MH/s of performance. We’ve seen these selling for as low as $500 on eBay, but the TDP on this card is an awe-inspiring 500W, so packing 7 of these into a single system would be more than what any one power supply could handle. The thought of a single system pulling  3,500+ Watts is pretty crazy!
Complicating the matter further is that Bitcoin ASICs can often be made to cater to both ends of the spectrum by varying the clock frequency and/or the power provided to the chip (often via a regulated voltage supply). As such, chips can not be directly compared.
Mist and Ethereum Wallet are the official developments by the Ethereum team. While at the heart of it it’s straightforward to use, it does pack a lot of extra features. Since it’s integrated with ShapeShift, you can also accept payments from Bitcoin other altcoin accounts as well. It also allows you to develop Ethereum based apps and services – a.k.a. Smart Contracts.
MinerGate will display a message to say that ‘smart mining’ has been activated. The MinerGate Mining Pool will automatically try to use your computer’s resources to mine cryptocurrency in the most profitable way.
If you’re thinking about getting into Ethereum mining, you’ve come to the right place.  Finding the best GPU for mining Ethereum can be tough since having high gaming benchmarks and a high price tag doesn’t necessarily mean the graphics card is the best when it comes to mining.
To get started you will need to obtain a mining wallet to collect your digital currency, mining software, and of course your trusty PC equipped with a worthy “miner” or GPU, or better yet multiple GPUs. NiceHash is a simple software package that will get you up and running, but there are a myriad of mining app choices and wallet types out there to choose from, with lots of guides on the net to educate yourself. We’re going to be focusing on the hardware and mining performance side of things in this piece, however.
From mining to Al, GPU is very good at complex computations, no matter the type. It can mine any type of coin. as well as get converted to Al machine or something else if mining is no longer profitable.
You can determine the rating for efficiency by dividing the hashrate by the power consumption. Newer cards are usually more efficient. This rating is of prime importance—given that electricity is a fixed, ongoing cost. In other words, the more efficient your card, the more profitable it will be once you’ve received the ROI.
Even though only AMD and NVIDIA design GPUs, many companies such as ASUS. EVGA. and Gigabyte manufacture and resell GPUs. This creates competition. and prevent a single entity from controlling the market.
So I am working through some issues. First I have two drives. C: which is a fairly small SSD drive just for my OS (the blockchain is too big to fit on here) and an E: drive which stores everything else. I finally figured out how to store the blockchain on E: with my coinbase and if I am solo mining it works (probably not going to mine anything but works nontheless). So I am considering pool mining. According to your article I must first downloan the entire blockchain which I am working on doing again to the E: drive.… Read more »

  1. Mining is permitted by the cryptocurrency software itself. If you go solo mining, you can start mining with the software that is running your node. But it stops here. What about pool mining ? What about dedicated miners for GPUs ? Some great people have not only implemented mining algorithms but have also permitted pool mining and hash optimizations ! They’ve made their softwares available on the Internet : some are open-source and you’ll need to compile the source code, others are closed-source and you can download their binaries only. The choice of the miner is significant in terms of performance and thus of ROI. Try the different mining softwares yourself : don’t care about the hashrates read in forums. Actually, future miners often forget that a mining software comes with parameters that may have effects on mining performance.
A car could be uploaded to the blockchain. You, the customer, sees the car. You want to buy the car, and since it’s on the blockchain with a smart contract, you can buy it instantaneously. You pay with crypto, and the car is bought in real time. Everything is executed on the smart contract. You now own the title and all information about the car.
