Um bei Deinem Beispiel BlackCoin zu bleiben, wurden lediglich Blöcke per PoW gemined, danach auf PoS umgestellt. Die Blockfrequenz liegt bei ca. 60 Sekunden, also werden pro Stunde 3600 Blöcke gefunden, was bedeutet, dass nach drei Stunden alle PoW Stakes verteilt waren und diese bekommen jetzt PoS rewards. Ganz ehrlich, ist das für Dich ein vertrauenswürdiges System?
That’s correct, GPU will be discouraged due to the fact that the algorithm requires a lot of memory per thread. I’m pretty sure people will find ways around, but the goal is for dagger to continue adapting.

I know Panda is packaged GPU’s but I’m not sure OP is aware enough of ethash’s reliance on commodity memory architecture and how that precludes ‘ASIC’ (Application Specific Integrated Circuit, rather than ‘black box with fans’) from being developed. So I didn’t want to get too technical.

Am I up and mining now? or is it just running in a loop? I did everything right in the instructions. I am running windows 10 on Nvidia Geforce Gtx 960M with an intel core i7. any info would be greatly appreciated.
Nevertheless, when a designer makes claims regarding hash rates at certain clock frequencies, one can determine if A. there is a straightforward calculation and B. if the designer is being imprecise (rounding values) or even intentionally dishonest, as the ratio between clock cycles and hash rate should remain the same.
So basically, an ASIC should not have any benefit at all because it’s just general computation. And to top it off, contracts can be released that are specifically ASIC-hard so there would be an active disincentive to using ASICs. Though I’m not sure if that has ever been done or not in the wild.

I’ve tried creating a batch script with every iteration of the final line, it does nothing. The CMD prompt appears and then closes within a second. I’ve been at this for HOURS. Any help would be awesome….
The Vega represents the latest in AMD GPU architecture. While the standard air-cooled Vega series runs a little too hot for serious overclocking, this special edition stays cool enough to reach 42 MH/s, while drawing just under 300 Watts! This feature represents an amazing value: It can match the overclocked performance of Nvidia’s Titan Xp, but only costs half the price.
As you can  see in the dual mining configuration, the last part is “-dcri 25”. That means that the  dual coin is set to mine intensively ,  and it shows how much GPU core is assigned for that task. Yes it’s needed for solo mining too, and needs to be set to 6! This is a very important part because it’s DEPENDANT ON THE GPU SERIES. The only noticeable difference between the RX 570 and RX 580 series is their GPU Core. The memory (used for ethereum mining) is almost the same on those cards, so there is basically no difference in  the ethereum hashrate, but the big difference comes in the GPU Core. The RX 580 series can handle around -dcri 25, don’t go above that because it can reduce your ethereum hashrate. For RX 570 series the optimal -dcri is around 19-22. For some cards even lower as 13, this needs to be tested by yourself. The proper way would be to start with -dcri 10. Then using your keyboard press “+” or “-”, that way you can increase or decrease -dcri by 1, as you will see on the claymore miner. By going up you will see the dual coin hash rate going up, repeat  that until you can start to see the ethereum hashrate decrease, then, after you find that spot reduce -dcri by 3, so you are not pushing the GPU to the limit. On the RX 570 series it’s possible to get a higher hashrate on ethereum with dual mining rather than just solo mining. Optimal for RX 570 is around -dcri 19 , optimal for RX 580 series is around -dcri 25. For some cards it’s possible to go even further, but it’s not worth it to stress the GPU too much.

The program might say that you have insufficient memory on your Graphics card to mine Ether, with Ethereum’s Ethash algorithm. If this is the case, you can still mine with your CPU, or go out and buy a new graphics card! If you get an error message like this, tap Ctrl+c, to cancel the process. Pro-tips: check out the following GPU’s: AMD Rx 470/480 Rx 570/580, AMD R9 range, HD 7990 / 7950 (if used cards are available, try to get them from a gamer instead of a miner, with a warranty if possible).  For Nvidia, look at the 1060 / 1070 / 1080 series cards.  As with everything, do your own due diligence to evaluate GPU’s based on their hashrate, power requirements, availability and price. 
Another interesting thing that doesn’t seem pointed out in the white paper is that the memory has to be FAST. Excessively fast. So standard DRAM isn’t really up to the challenge, which is why the RAM on GPUs take the brunt of the work in most mining today.

The ratio you want to keep low is your USD/Mh/s since this directly reflects how long it will take to pay back your initial investment. I try to stay well below $10/Mh/s but if you don’t mind the risk you can go for it even if you are above this. Most stores are price gouging like crazy at the moment, charging $300+ for rx570s and similar mining cards that were $200 a few weeks ago, so if you choose to buy a card at these inflated prices first congratulate yourself on finding one that is in stock since they’re sold out everywhere, then accept that it may not generate much profit before it is obsolete for mining and carry on with that knowledge.
As explained in our guide “How Ethereum Mining Works”, miners are the ones that are preventing bad behavior – like ensuring that no one is spending their money more than once and rejecting smart contracts that haven’t been paid for.
But I don’t understand why it wouldn’t be profitable? I understand that the Ethash algorithm needs lots of memory and that’S not cheap. But why hasn’t a company just produced them in bulk for a lower price and made it profitable ?!

The current CPU mining world is far less democratic of a process than the GPU world, in my opinion. For example, I have access to many spare computers but I don’t even bother CPU mining because friends I know spin up dozens and dozens of AWS instances. The current CPU world is dominated by fewer individuals than any real (or hype) GPU based coin. One coin had thousands mining and was literally dominated by 2-3 people getting 98% of all coins.
I have rewrote it to make it useable for all users and make their mining easier. I have added about 60% code to check for stupid things users may do and much better error handling to ensure your mining will be absolutely flawless.
