This is outsourcing the mining. Cloud mining companies will charge you a fee, usually for a fixed-term contract. A short contract might be one year.Cloud mining is profitable because the GPUs are bought in bulk, hence at discounts.
Double click your Bat file to start the miner.  The miner will start, run the setx commands to set those environment variables, initialize each of your GPU’s, build the DAG file on each of your GPU’s and start hashing away.  Let it run for about 20 seconds and then click “s” to have it show your Hashing speed.  You can use that back in the calculator again to determine a more accurate representation of your earnings.
Hello, Thanks for the interest in our blog. We try our best to serve you with well researched and rich content. We, at prooworld advice on various business and personal finance matters, like Cryptocurrency Mining, Investing, Personal Finance, etc.
First, you must calculate how much you’re hashing power will be. If you already have some GPUs that you’re planning to use, then you can use Google to find out its hash rate. Alternatively, you can use a site such as CryptoCompare to determine what the best value for money GPU is. However, I’ve not yet found a database with a full list so you may wish to start your own excel file and compare the hashrate you get per dollar spent. GPU prices can also vary significantly, country to country, so make sure you take this into consideration as well.
Koszonom
Below are the best Nvidia’s mining cards currently available on the market. It’s important to note that we excluded Older Nvidia cards with 4 GBs (or less) of VRAM because their performance was usually bad, and it will only worsen more as epochs advance.
Pro-tips: check out the following GPU’s: AMD Rx 470/480 Rx 570/580, AMD R9 range, HD 7990 / 7950 (if used cards are available, try to get them from a gamer instead of a miner, with a warranty if possible).  For Nvidia, look at the 1060 / 1070 / 1080 series cards.  As with everything, do your own due diligence to evaluate GPU’s based on their hashrate, power requirements, availability and price.
Your account balance needs to reach 1.01 Ethereum before payout and the pool pays out 6 times per day. Unless you’re mining with a powerful mining rig or using multiple miners, you may want to join a pool with a lower payout minimum.
You may have noticed that NVIDIA cards were predominantly absent from our top, and there’s a good reason as to why – in their quest to make their cards as powerful and efficient as possible, NVIDIA left out pretty much every feature they did not need, optimizing their cards and chips to the maximum. While this worked out superbly when it came to gaming (NVIDIA’s GTX 10 series is lacking competition almost completely), it did not make NVIDIA cards notable candidates when it came to mining performance, as AMD cards tend to have more raw power that can be effectively used in mining.
Ethereum mining is difficult on the Windows. Nonetheless, you can mine Ether using a GPU or a CPU device with Windows 64 bit. By running your CPU device, you can generate 0.15 Mega Hashes. On the other hand, using a decent GPU miner with sufficient storage, you can reach the 25 Mega Hashes mark. Thus, with regards to the overall efficiency, and after considering the total electricity charges, a GPU is definitely worth a purchase even if its cost is $200.
You’ll also need Ethereum mining software to point your hardware towards your selected pool. And, an Ethereum wallet to receive payouts to. A hardware wallet like the Ledger Nano S would be the best option.
It is the biggest Ethereum mining pool. It operates at a speed of 41.9 Ghash/s. More than 103.000 miners currently use Ethermine. Service fee is 1%. The minimum payout threshold is 0.05 ETH. The remuneration distribution system is PPLNS.
The simplest answer is that it is profitable. If you do it correctly, you can earn a lot more money by selling the mined ether (ETH) than what you spend on electricity. It should be said that ethereum mining profitability really depends on how much money you are willing to spend on upgrading or building a computer that is designed specifically for ethereum mining.
These are stock hash rates and stock power consumption.  There are many tweaks that can be done such as overclocking, lower the voltage, using different firmware and beta drivers.  Every card is different so you’ll have to find the sweet spot.
There are currently about 2.5 million GPUs mining Ethereum. The rating for efficiency can be determined by dividing the hashrate by the power draw. This is a primary indicator, which shows how profitable your mining operations will be in the future (after the payback period), given that electricity is a fixed, ongoing cost. The more efficient your card (newer cards are usually more efficient), the more profitable it will be once you’ve received the ROI.
Even though this burgeoning cryptocurrency suffered certain wild volatility sometime in the past, it has been able to recover and progress well. As at now, enthusiasts and hobbyists are looking for means of downloading this blockchain based, open-source currency platform on high-end desktop PCs. By using an effective hardware for mining Ethereum, you can greatly reduce the amount of electricity that you use, which will, in the end, cut down your costs.
Any personal computer can be used for the mining of ether, as long as the device incorporates a Graphic Card (GPU) and having at least 2 Gigabytes of RAM. Mining on Central Processing Unit (CPU) is simply a frustration in exercise; it incurs a lot of time with very minimal profits.
If you can be clear about what exactly do you mean by RX cards speed problem that would be helpful. And, when you post in 2018 that and RX 580 is getting 18 MH/s and falling fast, what is this information based off of.
The last of our best Ethereum groups is Dwarfpool (https://dwarfpool.com). Dwarfpool uses a RBPPS payment method ( round based pay per share ), which is based on the PPS method. Automatic payments are made every hour and guarantee a 100% uptime due to its distributed infrastructure. Dwarfpool constitutes approximately 13% of the hashrate of the network.
You can build a rig that costs $50,000 and will mine cryotocurrency with incredible hashrates, but that machine will likely take 3-4 years just to pay for itself and require you to upgrade the electrical panel in your house to feed it. Additionally, with this being an emerging market there is no guarantee the whole game is even the same game in a year.  With that in mind, if speed is your only concern then you should only look at the highest hashrate cards below.  Power consumption and cost to acquire will not be part of the equation for you.
The question of which is the best ether miner is quite challenging to tackle is quite subjective. There isn’t actually any single definite best ether miner. All of the reliable ether miners serve you greatly by getting you ethers or simply having you rewarded for your discovery. However, the distinguishing feature is in their service provisions in terms of the fees charged, specific functions supported and other resource assistance.
The results for my investments are great. Below you can find a list of it. They have 3–4 different contracts you can choose from right now. You can look at the page of this trader for example. If you were invested in any year avg:
I am in the peocess of ordering parts for a good 6 card mining rig. What is the best GPU card i can get now that uses the least amount of power? What is your email? Maybe you could send me an updated list for 2018? Or are all the parts still basically the same as your first list? Thank you so much for all this help!!! ?
That’s ultimately why we created this list of the best mining GPUs, and we didn’t just look into the specific needs of each mining graphics card, but we also included our exclusive price comparison tool to bring you the lowest prices from every corner of the internet.
Compare the above to my 2 x R9 390X GPUs mining rig. Hashrate is ~ 62.8 MH/s. Again from the mining calculator, my expected earning is 1.210311 ETH (USD 14.16) per day or 8.4722 (USD 99.12) per week. Mining rig consumes ~ 700 watts. This is equal to 700 x 24 = 16,800 watt-hours per day, or 16.8 kWh. 16.8 kWh x USD .17 per kWh = USD 2.85 per day in electricity.
For beginners, a rig is going to require some significant processing power. This power is best achieved with Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) that are typically applied for 3D graphics in video games. Though it is possible to mining with Central Processing Units (CPUs), which link up all the right software and hardware in a computer system, GPUs are optimized and specialized in running recurrent operations over and again.
Cryptocurrency mining is a big buzz topic in technology these days and many people have started mining cryptocurrencies. In 2018, Ethereum smashed its long-term $400 ceiling, and reached more than $1,000, which makes it one of the most popular cryptos for mining.
The What To Mine Calculator is hands down, the most useful mining calculator. The reason being that you simply fill in your graphics cards models and the site will calculate the power draw, hash rate, and the most profitable coin for your set up. The site will even show you the best exchange to sell your coins on. Additionally, the site will also apply a reasonable overclock to the cards making your results even more accurate. When mining, overclocking is extremely useful so think of this as “free performance.” The only downside to this site is that it only has information on 11 different GPUs and no CPUs. You also can’t fill in your pools fee. This site is still extremely useful for finding the most profitable coin to mine, making it my preferred calculator.
Hard Drive – You’re going to need a hard drive to put the operating system and mining software on. Your standard SSD drive can work. The size of the SSD will depend on what you want to do while you’re mining. If you intend on downloading the entire blockchain, then you need to take into consideration how long that chain will get and shell out a bit more money. If you’re just interested in mining as part of a pool then you can manage just fine with a smaller SSD drive.
had a quick question on setting up geth – I’ve gotten to step 7 and while syncing it keeps generating the same few lines of text (“imported new block receipts, imported new block headers”, etc.) should this be expected? how long does this usually take to complete?

Another reason why people continue mining even when it’s unprofitable to mine Ethereum is because of their belief that Ethereum will be worth much more in the future.   Even though Ethers are worth around $300-$350 now, in 5 years they might be worth $3000-$3500.  So even if mining now is unprofitable, the coins will rise in value as time goes on.
While our introductory course was a basic overview that familiarized you to tools and resources in a broad sense, this course is much more concrete with walkthroughs, personal examples, and analysis. A real emphasis is put on tangible experiences based on over a decade of combined experience.
That being said, the more powerful your mining hardware is the more likely you are to successfully mine Ether, and in turn generate a profit. If you use one of the three GPUs mentioned above, you’re off to a good start.
Is Ethereum mining profitable? This is one of the most asked questions about ethereum mining. The response is not so simple and clear because not all the parameters can be anticipated. Profitability depends on the hashrate and on the price of hardware and electricity but also on Eth price and on the how many other people are mining in the network. While most of the parametes are steady the last 2 are can change from on day to another.
