Mining ethereum isn’t profitable anymore. Since there is an exponential increase in mining difficulty, Ether mined in a month gonna decrease exponentially too. I’m currently making around 0.75 Ether a month but that’s not constant. I’ve done the whole analysis here taking my case as an example.
Take the online notebook described in “What is Ethereum?”. The network would not come to consensus about the ‘state’ of the notebook (say, if a note is added or deleted) without the computational power to process the changes.
I can’t find anything about mining on this card either, but some comments from forums leads me to believe it could be about double the speed of 7950 cards. giving you somewhere between 35-40Mh/s, but this could be wrong depending on the bandwitdth usage on the card. Could be much less. Best tip is to just try it. Would be nice to hear the result!
No one yet fully understands how cryptocurrencies will change how we transact business with one another, but many experts predict they will spark a revolution. That thinking was reflected in 2017 when bitcoin’s price rose 1,000%, yet still fell short of the top 10 cryptocurrency gainers of the year; when Estonia announced that it would pursue plans to launch a crypto-token, making it the first country to do so; and when major Japanese and South Korean banks began trialing blockchain-based payments (paywall).
Windows will never use more than 40GB!!! and you will never run into problems if you delete the DAG file periodically… The miners are all less than 10MB in size…. the Drivers should be less than 400MB… the antivirus less than 300MB…. you still have more than 15GB free………………..
Unfortunately, the POW period (ie. the period where you can mine ethers with graphics cards) will end this year, when ethereum will switch over to POS. So we’re talking about a timeframe of probably only a few months left ?
Mining originates from the gold analogy of the cryptocurrency sphere. In simple, cryptocurrency mining is a process of solving complex math problems. “Miners” are people that spend time and energy solving these math problems. They provide the solution to the issuers, who verify it and reward the miners with a block of Ether. Intuitively, an increase in mining difficulty means it becomes harder to solve complex problems, and therefore to fewer rewards. We’re at a current peak in Ethereum difficulty due to its very high demand and popularity.
The Radeon R9 295X2 is currently the most popular GPU when it comes to mining Ethereum. It offers a hash-rate of 46 MH/s and is the industry leader when it comes to hashing power. The R9 295X2 consumes a power of 500W. This GPU is in high and tends to get sold out as soon as it goes on stock. It comes with an 8GB GDDR5 RAM.
Strange only V11 is working in MC1.10 the Ultra preview no go and the 10.1 standard nothing… PLease correct as I love the Ultra and used in the past. now I can not. But I will say this I love the version 11 but wish it had option to get rid of the blurry glass and water. NOT A FAN!
Personally, I believe in diversification within the Ethereum realm: mining, buy-and-hold, momentum trading, mean-reversion trading and price arbitrage between exchanges. I believe in the incredible potential of a technology like Ethereum, but there are so many factors that could crush its market cap.
An Ethereum mining rig is a configuration of two or more Ethereum mining GPUs. In most cases a rig consists of four or more GPUs. Obviously they’re more expensive than one GPU, but they also have far superior hashing power.
In a recent post, I outlined how the use of real-world resources tie cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ether back to real world monetary value. Today, I’m going to flip the script and talk about Ethereum’s plan to eliminate the need for heavy duty computing power, and why that may not be such a bad thing from a financial perspective.
Profitability decline per year – This is probably the most important and elusive variable of them all. The idea is that since no one can actually predict the rate of miners joining the network no one can also predict how difficult it will be to mine in 6 weeks, 6 months or 6 years from now. This is one of the two reasons no one will ever be able to answer you once and for all “is Bitcoin mining profitable ?”. The second reason is the conversion rate. In the case below, you can insert an annual profitability decline factor that will help you estimate the growing difficulty.
All I see when I turn shaders on is pitch black, with 7 diff images of screen, each one getting smaller and smaller, and blurier, and blurier, and no, Im not holusinating, but i can see all guis just fine(pause menu, inventory, f3, and the little plus sign in middle of screen) plz help this is best shaders version out there
Now replace “” with your Ethereum Wallet address (which starts with 0x…) so copy that from your other text file and paste it here.  Then replace “” with any name you would like to create for your miner.  We’ll use “MiningRig1” for our example, so you now have:
At that point, you still have all that mining hardware, so you could switch to Ethereum Classic, which uses the same algorithm more or less, except there will be no difficulty bomb. I recommend you start out with that instead of mining on regular Ethereum, as even the wiki says not to.
Now the only way you can deal with that exponentially increasing difficulty is an exponentially increasing price in ETH. But if assume ETH will be increasing exponentially in price, why do you want to mine at all? Just spend your money on ETH now.

Unlike the 470, the 460 draws so little power that it can operate entirely off the power supplied by the motherboard’s PCIe connector (which maxes out at around 75 watts). That means you don’t need an eight or 6-pin connector, so it can almost certainly operate off the energy supplied by what’s known as a picoPSU: a tiny, fanless, highly-efficient PSU.

The motherboard is the one that will be responsible for connecting the entire system. In this case the ideal is to have one with enough slots to connect as many GPUs as we want or are needed. A plate with six PCI Express slots would allow us to insert six GPS like those mentioned above that would allow us to build a team with at least 180MH / S.
So I tried adding a 5th card today (Red Devil rx 470) and can’t get it to detect on Windows 10. Other gpus are reference 480’s, Motherboard is Asrock H81 Pro BTC and I have powered risers, and plenty of power 1300 EVGA. 4 cards was working just fine but the fifth wont show up, fans just spin. Any recommendations?
One thing to take into consideration is the heat, in summer time it’s a problem. If you have 2 servers with 6 GPU each (total of 12 GPUs), a 150000BTU is not even enough… You need a system to extract the air outside.
